Is Jubilee the answer to the economic crisis?

The Book of Jubilee was banned from the Bible.

Jubilee wont work for a debt based monetary system...If there was no debt, there would be no dollars.

Every dollar either printed or electronic is somebody elses debt.

So imagine jubilee today...your savings in the bank (poof-gone), Savings in very safe treasuries or muni bonds (poof-gone), all the people who borrowed heavily to buy houses & cars & gold & food on the day before jubilee (they're rich beyond imagination)

We call it bankruptcy but they called it forgiveness and God intended it to work in the context of landed family lines. Every family upon entering the Holy Land was given an allotment that had to be returned to the heirs during Jubiliee. The Jews never actually honored even on year of Jubilee that I am aware of though. The Jews were also forbidden to lend money at interest to their kinsmen. This did not apply to the Gentiles and they have shown themselves very shrewd in understanding this fact.

The difficult thing for some of us gentiles to get is that whether objective or self-imposed the history of the Jewish nation is inseparable from the history and fate of the world.

Jubilee works just fine in the context of families recieving again the land from which they can make a living. But you see having a plot from which to grow leeks and onions is not really enough for fallen humanity. We crave Egypt and the chance to cozy up to Pharoah or we just aren't happy. Keith Green understood the implications of linking faith to capitalism, it was not long after telling his Christian business associates about it that he died.

In the end the Jewish nation will again be a light to the nations. the Olive Tree will stand with it's many branches and be a blessing, serving the Lord in Jerusalem, and from there the healing of the nations will spring forth. They will see their Messiah as he is when he returns to stand on the Mount of Olives and to trounce the collective forces of the world under the messiah they have chosen. He will give big bad mankind a taste of what real power is. Afterward the world will be at peace for the first time since that uncomfortable incident with Adam.

Let the year of Jubiliee come!

Jubilee bonanza off Ghana
Four production ships may be needed to exploit this latest oil find

Up to four floating production ships (FPSOs) may be needed for the huge Jubilee multi-fields project offshore Ghana, according to Bob Daniel, Anadarko senior VP worldwide exploration.

Energy estimates that this could take the eventual capital investment in the project to more than $10billion and make it one of the largest developments ever in the region.

There are currently three discoveries at the heart of the Jubilee project: Mahogany, Hydeua and Odum. Early indications are that they are geologically connected and that this points to substantial reserves upside.

The consortium behind the project is to take a staged approach and is out to the market for phase one of the project. This will comprise a 120,000 barrels per day capacity FPSO and suite of subsea wells. First oil is targeted for 2010.

A phase two is inevitable, again based on an FPSO and subsea wells suite; the third and fourth phases are contingent on appraisal work taking the reserves estimate for the now three fields complex to about 2billion barrels of oil, and perhaps more as appraisal work continues. Production could hit 480,000bpd.
