Did something just go goofball on peakoil.com's DNS registration. whois shows something really odd, with an update time of..

Updated Date: 2016-01-09T05:22:39.0Z

I could connect by sticking in peakoil's prior IP address in my hosts file. But I can't get a good lookup from the regular dns system.

Seems fine to me.

Actually, just checked ICANN and it does seem to have been moved to New Zealand https://whois.icann.org/en/lookup?name=peakoil.com

But it's just an anonymising proxy service so may not be of any consequence. It's still resolving to a Cloudflare IP address too https://db-ip.com/104.24.22.28

Very odd, I still can't get a dns lookup response for peakoil.com from any dns server I use..
They all come back like this.... Sure your response isn't a cached response?

8.8.8.8 is also Google, btw (as is 8.8.4.4 if that wasn't already clear).

Also noted the login page appears different (no left panel w/user id) though I don't miss the ads

Same thing here. It is obviously a government attack on us for telling the truth.

I thought they were out to deny me the ability to post of this most awesome and popular of forums. Somehow rigging the various dns servers around to me respond with NXDOMAIN

Whatever is going on my left screen menu is missing with all the short cuts to use board functions.

Maybe try CTRL+F5 to totally refresh the page? It works fine here. But I have loads of privacy addons that are obviously confounding our NSA overlords

Weird. I've caught it now too. http://peakoil.com/ shows the side menu but http://peakoil.com/forums/newposts.html and actually posting don't.

I briefly lost the menu structure earlier today, but it has now resolved itself.
