Is there any way to constrain the size of an image posted so that it fits on the page?

Other than resizing it yourself and hosting it on photobucket or something?

It seems to me that the wordpress application used to host this site has image size hard limited, many other sites will allow the image to be either auto resized or become oversized and allow the browser to scroll to see it all.

Maybe the admins should look into changing the image settings to take into account the trend towards larger & higher resolution images being uploaded onto the web these days.

Tinypic.com works well.

You can upload a pic, or paste the image url from the inernet. Then in the next dropdown box you pick the size you want. Then it plays an ad and you type what the answer says, and voila it spits out a new img url for you.

So then you paste the image url on the forum, resized to the size you chose.

I use Picasa and I export images at specific sizes and then add them to my Google plus image galleries. From there I take the URL to post them on a thread here. The size 800 x 592 or whatever ratio closest to this you have gives a real nice big image that stays within the borders of a post.

Photobucket seems to work for me. I use the img line for a full picture,

and the img thumb for a small one.
