403 Forbidden
Posted: Wed 08 Jan 2014, 22:19:02When I tried to visit the site about 8:45 I got a 403 Forbidden page. Whats going on? Power outage in the server farm?
does the response arrive - do you read me?

today, you can ONLY access peakoil if your go through the cloudflare proxy
and non-cloudflare traffic gets : " 403 forbidden " messages.
people have problems with this setup since your DNS must resolve peakoil.com to cloudflare proxy.
Fixes to this issue:
1) reboot PC and or modem
2) use google's DNS servers 8.8.8.8
3) try a different computer or internet connection
when we move servers again, I will attempt to put in place a more permanent solution

Posted: Sun 24 May 2015, 12:26:01No more 403 errors... the errors were occurring on multiple devices - computers, tablets, etc. from my IP address. Rebooting the router didn't help.
However site is damn slow now even from web proxy. Receiving 524 errors - timeout.
