To see a PM as soon as it arrives, go to Your Account, click on Change Info, scroll about half way down until you see:

Pop up window on
new Private Message:
Will open a new popup
window to inform you
when new private
messages arrive

In the option box, click Yes.

When I send a pm, my ...Does that mean the pm didn't send? Or that my sentbox is messed up? Any help appreciated.

It sometimes takes a little while for the message to move along. Check back and see if it's there now.

When the receiving party hasn't picked it up yet, you will find it in the Outbox.

I have a PM in my outbox that has been sitting there since December 10.
Why has it not been sent?

I have another PM to Monte that is sitting in the outbox too.

This may be the rare case of a non-send.

Normally, this situation occurs when the intended recipient does not pick up the message.

Aaron or Dan would have to debug the problem if your account isn't sending.

I would be the last to complain for late deliveries. This all is not a given!

Ah. I thought it was similar to an email outbox, not able to read until actually sent.

Anybody having problems sending private messages? Mine are queued up the the outbox and there seems to be no way to send them out.

it stays in the outbox until your recipient reads it...cool feature i think.

When I try to PM, I get a message saying this is for registered users only, although I was logged on.

I can check my own messages but not send new ones.

My outbound messages are accumulating in my Outbox, but not getting sent.

One message has made it out, though 3 messages still remain in my outbox.

Any news on this - all my messages are also stuck in the Outbox, not Send.

Sent messages stay in the Outbox until they are read, then they show up in the Sent box.
