Unable to activate account

I've tried several times to create and activate a new account, but each time no activation email reaches me. I've tried several different mail accounts (Hotmail gmail etc) but nothing arrives.
Could a board admin manually activate my account (solarkiwi), or contact me at the email address I gave, or post an email address I can contact directly please.

I haven't posted in years. Something was screwed up when I registered for that peakoil.com email a while back. For the record, I never figured out how to access that account. Could someone tell me how? Either that or unlock my account?

Confirmation email is probably in your SPAM folder.
That happens to a lot of people..

No validation e-mails for me as well.
Of course i checked the Spam folder, and most likely "CantRegister" did too since he tried for months.
My guess is that there is a server side filter blocking certain ranges of e-mail addresses in an attempt to block temporary ones, but its not really working as intended...

Something was screwed up awhile ago with the peakoil.com email fiasco. It won't send a confirmation to the email I can access.

I have not been able to log in for months. My user-name is LoneSnark. I reset the password, it says the e-mail was sent, but I don't receive it. Checked spam folder, no dice. However, it let me create a new account (LoneSnark2) so I have no idea. Any help?

I have a problem. I have been a member for several years, username nocar. But I have changed my e-mailadress, and lost my password.
When I try to get a new password, I get the message that the e-mailaddress does not fit.
When I then try to register under a new username, I get the message that the e-mail address i already in use.
Please help me.

I changed your password to your old username.
Be sure to change it when you get access.

Well, now I feel very dense. I have tried to find a place named 'change password' and 'change e-mail address' but I can find nothing of the sort. How do I change my password?

Click on "User control panel" on the sidebar
Then the horizontal tab "Profile"
Then the verticle tab "edit account settings"

Ok, Pops, now I managed to change my password, and it works beautifully.
Thank you again.
However my email address I am not able to change. The address displayed in the profile is several years old. When I change it and confirm it, I get the complaint 'the email address is already in use' , referring to the new, current, one. Yet when I log in next time and check settings, the old email address is the one displayed again. I have tried three or four times to update my e-mail address, logging out between trials.

Why not try to put a dummy email address on the alt account then change your correct account to the new email address, the one you've just removed from the alt account.
Hope that make sense.
