Are Firefox users not welcome?

G'day.

It is apparent that, since the upgrade to the website with the somewhat new-look forums, Firefox users are no longer welcome to post replies or new topics.
Fortunately, I have Internet Explorer as well as Firefox (though I prefer Firefox), and so I am able to post this comment.

When seeking to post a reply using Firefox, I get the message "You cannot reply in this forum". When attempting to post a new topic, I get the message "You cannot post in this forum". When I tried to post a new topic in this Technical Support forum, I got the message "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again." Needless to say, trying to submit again seems to only lead to a poistive result when using Internet Explorer.

I use Mozilla Firefox 3.05, Internet Explorer 7.0.6001.18000

I am getting really pissed off with explorer just quitting WHEN ON P.O.COM
It happens here ALL THE TIME.
Can't somewhen there do some reverse engineering towards microsoft so they can't do this?
How many are being denied the opportunity to learn about peak oil by this action?

Of course Firefox users are welcome.
About half of the site members use Firefox.

In 2006, po.com had a big "Get Firefox" button on every page.

Please clear your cookies and try again.
There is some "post rejected" bug, that I am tracking down....

I am using Firefox and have experienced similar difficulties. However, I don’t think Firefox is the proximate cause. I have found the logon from the Site Index page does not always carry through to subsequent pages and suddenly find myself as a Guest. Then the error messages start. Keep an eye on the log in status on the top left of the pages.

Clearing the cookies using 'clear private data' seems to work.

Firefox test....

Seems to work with FF for me.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.20) Gecko/20081217 Firefox/2.0.0.20

Edit:
Actually here's what happened. I hit the Submit button, then got the error message you mentioned, then hit Submit again and it took.

Looks like an intermittent error to me.
Could be hard to catch intermittent errors.

Let's see if this goes through. I'm on Firefox 3.0.6 on XP. If I do a quote, it tends to fail more often than not. If I put a single "test", it seems to work better. Then I go back and edit that "test" post to something more intelligible.

Update : I've cleared my cookies and cache, seems to be much better.
Try clearing your cookies & cache, folks.

Quote seems to work for me, 3.0.6 on XP.

I have a beta of Windows 7, should I try it there or not complicate things? :-D

Third attempt at posting with Firefox after clearing private data. Not that I want to spam the boards with test posts, but I would like to solve this little issue somehow.
