Posted: Fri 22 Jan 2021, 06:22:05I used to frequent this forum way back around in 2008. Nice to see it's still around. I was so caught up in this stuff back then. Now well over a decade later, almost nothing foretold has come to past. Most of the doomer talk turned out to have been that, just talk, although there's always the next horizon to look to. I stopped checking these sites back around 2010, when other life things got in the way. I now see that lot of the people and sites that were thriving around in 2009 are long gone, it's kind of sad to see. Heard Jay Hanson died, and Savinar was a fraud. The Alas Babylon group and others like that seems to have vanished, and the oil drum and many other sites are dead. I guess fracking and technology staved off the big bang, for now, and who know what'll happen in another decade. Anyway, just wanted to pop in and rant off for a bit.
