.
good move , I can appreciate that most contributors had a wide spread of interests ,
nothing wrong with that !
I can appreciate a narrow focus on barrels per day turn out to be poor fare over months
still , if this site has a purpose , it it the interaction of hydrocarbons on our everyday life .

the basic tenet of our belief is that if one take increasing quantities of a finite resources ,
eventually , the extraction process will bring diminishing return .

some called "cornucopians" hold that any obstacles can be overcome and provide an increasing bounty
some , like me , believe that is Santa Claus territory
the "When" is pretty much the central issue in this site ,
so far the score is .... cornies 5 doomers 0
no problem , as the saying goes " you got to be right every years , I have to be right only once "

PeakOil.com is the top non-Wiki hit in a search on "peak oil."

Looks to me as if you all are doing everything you can to make sure that it is no longer so. Good luck with that.

It's just about keeping the public-facing part of the site more focused on Peak Oil itself.
