The Pope tells oil execs to stop producing oil

This sounds like a good news story. You've got the pope, leader of all the Catholics in the world, standing up to the evil oil industry and telling them they are destroying the environment by producing oil and other fossil fuels.
On the other hand, it just shows the pope is rationalizing on the climate change issue exactly like the rest of us are doing. The Pope (and everybody else) is more than willing to denounce the evil oil companies for producing oil, but the Pope has a blind spot when it comes to his own travel and his own use of fossil fuels. For instance, the Pope takes about four foreign trips each year and he only travels by private jet. You can't get much more wasteful then that. Then when the Pope arrives he only travels by ICE vehicle, and most commonly in the "Popemobile"----an armored vehicle that is flown to each location just to transport the Pope around. Again, thats pretty wasteful to fly your own personal car to every spot you travel to.
Of course now just about anyone in the world can say they are opposed to the evils fossil fuel use and the dangers of global warming just like the Pope, and they are doing even more then Pope is doing to address this problem......and it isn't very often that we can all be more moral then the Pope.
The Pope----he just denounced the use of fossil fuels and the effects of global warming just like everyone else does, but he didn't mention that he himself uses far more fossil fuels and emits far more CO2 then just about anyone else.
