Anyone else having to hit refresh about 2-5 times to get any page to load? I've emptied my cache, no help. Happens on two different machines and no other websites seem to be affected.

I've noticed my screen blinking oddly at times when I'm on the PO website. Also, for a while I was unable to download some of the Forum pages---I got a huge mass of code instead.

I feel the same way, pstarr. You don't know it, but you are one of my favorite members.

The only thing I have found that helps somewhat is opening every link in its own window, and even that requires refreshing 50% of the time to get a page to come up.

Is anyone working on this yet, it sure as heck gets annoying. I also notice that the really slack times like 3 AM EST it is almost normal, but the higher the traffic the worse the refresh requirement is. :( :( :(

Does it help to know I still use dialup connections through my ISP, I run a Windows XP operating system with Outlook Express as my browser, and the problem gets much worse when the site has heavy traffic?

Same prob here. Have been for several weeks as well. Refresh several times to get page up.

I was on cable but now dial up. XP as well.

EDIT:

Does this problem seem to be limited to a few people? Seems as only a few have complained.

Could this be a hack?

It took about 30 refreshes to get here and I lost this once already.
Peace out!

Still a problem here. Two different machines with XP pro. Both home and work networks have the same problem and Firefox does it as well as IE. I don't see any correlation with time of day.

I still have the problem (only here on peakoil.com).

It is very difficult to navigate. Sometimes I have to wait up to 5 minutes to get a page here. It is the main reason I have not been posting much lately.

IT HAS NOW BEEN A FULL 30 DAYS SINCE I STARTED HAVING THIS PROBLEM. WHY HASN'T IT BEEN FIXED AND WHAT THE HECK IS TAKING SO LONG? I HAVE A LIMITED AMOUNT OF TIME ONLINE EACH DAY AND AM RESTRICTED ON THE NUMBER OF POSTS I CAN READ, LET ALONE RESPOND TO, BY THE FACT THAT IT TAKES ME 20 MINUTES TO READ AND RESPOND TO EACH ONE@!

observation

I began watching my conection status with each click on the site. I noticed that when I click and get the white page that the sent bytes doesn't change. So its as if the link on the page is broken.

Once the first occurance of the white page happens. I can go back then forward with the same results. Refresh is the only thing that will make the page appear. Sometimes I must make multiple refreshes to get the page to appear.

I am simply giving these observations in an effort to help out with your trouble shooting.
Peace out!
