Tanada...

I thought this had been made clear already, but apparently I'm mistaken...

The site is currently in an ongoing process of being upgraded, something which takes time --several weeks most likely-- so you will probably continue to experience random performance glitches and periods of site inaccessibility until that process is complete.

Patience people, please... [smilie=BangHead.gif]

The squeeky wheel gets the grease, and if you don't know its broke you won't find a way to fix it now will you?

I have not tried to be a pain to anyone during all these long years on PO.com, however when I find a software problem I do my civic duty and let TPTB PO.com style know about it.

SQUEEK SQUEEK

OK owners, its been 8 weeks since my last post pointing out that my email notifications are not arriving. The STILL are not arriving. Please fix....pretty please??????

Well Tanada, I don't usually use the notification function, but I set one to test it out and it worked fine for me, so it doesn't appear to be a problem on the site end. Received the following message in my email:

I don't know, but perhaps the bit I highlighted in bold might offer a clue to your problem? Also, have you checked your account settings to make sure that you have the email address listed that you actually expect the notifications to be sent to? What about any spam filters in the email account? Have you checked to see if they're getting dumped in a 'spam' folder?

The only other thing I can think of to suggest is to clear any thread subscriptions you currently have set under the 'Manage Subscriptions' section of your User Panel, then re-set them in each of the relevant threads. Oh, and you might also check in your Board Preferences to make sure that 'Administrators can e-mail me information' is set to 'Yes'...

Well I changed my notifications to come via my [email protected] address months ago and nothing coming through there gets stuck in my SPAM filters so I don't think that is the problem. I still receive email from other people at that address without a hick-up, so the address is valid. I visit the topics I was getting notifications on frequently, but without notifications it is more cumbersome. I have added a couple dozen topics via posts to threads since this prolem began and have not been notified about posts in any of them either. Checked my board prefs as suggested, everything is set to YES except for hide my online status which is set to NO. On my users panel I have 14 pages of notifications set, to reset them all would take many hours of effort. I tested a few of them when the problem began weeks ago without improvement but will do so again just to confirm.

Thank you for the suggestions, I really liked it when they worked and I miss my notifications.
