Perhaps you mean any mom's nurturing.

Eventually, such systems will be put in place, but not in the way most imagine.

We don't possess any democracy, we never did.

"...But the roots of the problem are deeper than the political process: the lack of democracy is built into the fundamental structures of a capitalist economy.

Democracy means “the rule of the people”. Capitalism means the rule of the market. Between those two concepts lies a gulf that can’t be bridged by any number of patriotic songs and firework displays.

A capitalist economy, based on private property, divides society into those who own and those who don’t: those who decide and those who obey. The first, most fundamental decisions that can be made in society – what to do with the tremendous wealth and technology that exists in the world – are made with no democratic oversight at all."
"We are mortal beings doomed to die

Democracy is only a transient situation.
As a rule of mindless and yet entitled mob it cannot possibly last long.

Democracy is the rule of the mob which is why the Founders didn't install it as the form of government that we have. I thought they taught basic civics in high school but apparently not.

A market crash and high inflation?

Imagine for a moment that the price of all your investments — your stocks, your retirement portfolio, your house — suddenly drop in half this year.

Being the doomer I am, that is exactly what I did in 2005-ish, and again last year. First time it caused me to cash out and go all homesteader, this time, it caused me to cash out and buy the cheapest house I could find, $67k, and stick the rest in the bank.

Worked good the first time, the house I sold then still hasn't got back to what I sold it for (sorry guys) this time we'll see. If values drop 50%, I'll be down $30k vs $175— and I'll have the $175 in cash. If they don't this one can bring maybe $125k with a little fixin'.
The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves -- in their separate, and individual capacities.

Well if that happened the price of golf in Florida would also be cut in half. The house is already in the daughters hands so she can deal with it.
maybe I'd have to start brewing my own beer.
