I knew the devil's lettuce would somehow come into play concerning EROEI.

Forget that. Just smoke the damn blunt, it has a positive eroei in a emotional/spiritual sense.

That is probably a better use for it. If the US took enough acreage out of food production to make the needed cannabis oil a Big Mac would cost $500, and most of the world would starve. The oil gambit has been bought and sold, and we lost. What excuse Saudi Arabia will have for cutting production next month is the only question. Maybe they will use the American environmental approach; preservation of the one hump camel.

I don't know why you're wasting time crunching numbers on biofuels. You're all about thermodynamics, right? Oil is stored sunlight. Biofuels are close-to-realtime sunlight and can never be anything more than a niche player (think WVO) not to mention mining soil fertility in the process. So whether pot is a better cash-crop than wheat is irrelevant as far as powering BAU goes.

HALL OF SHAME:
-Short welched on a bet and should be shunned.
-Frequent-flyers should not cry crocodile-tears over climate-change.

Venezuela is entering day 5 without electricity. The weak, old and sick are hopefully dying off...and soon in mass...to make room for the the once with a fighting chance to make it through the bottle neck.

The world (western) is imposing sanctions and isolating Venezuela to kill her off gently...just as life is ment to do.

You must have missed the news. Maduro is the one keeping out much needed food and medicine from the Venezuelan people not the West.

I know a woman who gave birth to a child in a refugee tent in southern Iraq after U.S bombings...wild dogs took and ate her child after she fell a sleep after giving birth.

Life is an American dream.

That is I enjoy everything we have in the Western world by doing a little bit of killing around the third world.

"GENEVA (31 January 2019) – Sanctions which can lead to starvation and medical shortages are not the answer to the crisis in Venezuela, says UN human rights expert Idriss Jazairy. His comments follow the imposition of sanctions on Venezuela’s national oil company by the United States.

“I am especially concerned to hear reports that these sanctions are aimed at changing the government of Venezuela,” said Mr. Jazairy, the UN Special Rapporteur concerned with the negative impact of sanctions."

The problem with the socialist regime in Venezuela is that they have brought in Cuba, Russia and China. Hezbollah, a terrorist organisation is running narcotics from Venezuela. Russia is refueling its nuclear bombers in Venezuela.

The U.S has a lot of problems with the socialist regime in Venezuela...and will topple it.

It won't take much to collapse Venezuela...and people will die.

The US is entitled to buy or not buy products from countries they choose. Its not like we are bombing food ships and trucks on their way to Venezuela. Socialism should figure out a way to feed the people regardless of outside interference. After all, it is the perfect system right?

Venezuela is entering day 5 without electricity.

Maybe 10 days of being without power will shut down the production of the 3000 tons of cocaine that Venezuela ships into the US each year. The stuff that has already destroyed the lives of millions of Americans, killed a great many of them, pulled innumerable families apart, and turned entire cities into one big crack house. If that doesn't do it maybe a couple of F-16s can.

To avoid any possibility that the the US may be accused of being imperialistic, war mongering, capitalists pigs perhaps the US should send Maduro, and his pack of drug running thugs a nice bouquet of flowers. We should contact the UN on what the proper floral arrangement should be. The sooner that shithole dissolves back into the jungle the better off the US will be. And, of course, if there is any oil worth having; the US should happily, and cheerfully hand it over to the Chinese. We really need to be fair!

The MIC would rather see the US bomb out mud huts, and school buses in some other shithole; like someplace in the Middle East. Their business is selling weapons, and Maduro just doesn't buy enough of them to make him worth dealing with. It doesn't take many $billion weapons systems to run a drug cartel. So lets continue on our present route of arming to the teeth a few tribes of desert savages, and hope they kill each other with the help of US technology. If one is looking for examples of destructive Yankee Imperialism; Venezuela is the wrong direction.

When the Venezuelan military goes hungry or doesn't get paid, its over for Madura. The Russians and Cubans can't keep him propped up. They can't afford it. Too bad the people down there needed this lesson in communism but they will learn something hopefully. It doesn't work.

Canada is even more bankrupt than Venezuela because of severe winter, large geographic distance, ....etc. The provinces all want to separate from one another.

Another -ism problem.

Without electricity, water, food and soon fuel, Venezuela looks to be entering an apocalypse.

The people of Venezuela will soon start to kill each other and make a mass exodus.

Venezuela is about to turn into another Syria and Yemen.

Guns always rule which I why our own democratic socialists in America are so enraptured with banning them.

In spite of the guns the communist use to stay in power they fail when they run out of other peoples money. The capitalists use their guns and F-35s and cruise missiles to keep the communists from taking over and destroying everything.
