And don't even try to quantify how much the CO2 the military spews out as it conducts bombing runs, tank exercises, and naval maneuvers for fun and profit. By one estimate the US military consumes about 90,000,000-100,000,000 barrels of crude oil each year, equivalent to about 40,000,000-44,000,000 metric tons of CO2 added to the atmosphere each year.
