This is good advice for everyone.

Even if the world doesn't reach its expiration date, each person individually most certainly will.

Make the most of everyday you've got left.

If there's anywhere you ever wanted to go, anything you ever wanted to do, anyone you always wanted to see, any experience you always wanted to have---go do it now

The luxury "science" journals called 'Nature' and 'Science' are laughable comic books based on the Pseudoscience of useless Windmills powering industrial scale synthetic chemical complexity.

Its grand fraud courtesy of the psycho ward called the ivory towers of finance.

The Mental Cases in the Texas Oil Industry are so brain damaged from fake money that they cannot even see that useless shit called Wind Mills as useless shit. These retards are convinced this monstrosity can actually be maintained with something that was only possible in 5000 B.C when the population was something like 5 million instead of 8 billion today.

The ancient Egyptians were the first people known to harness wind energy, using it to power boats up and down the Nile River as long ago as 5000 B.C. In ancient Persia, windmills were used to grind harvested grain and pump water through early plumbing systems.

How to make each moment what you want it to be:

Are you stuck in emotional patterns that do not change? Do you feel overwhelmed by your emotions? Why are emotions difficult to control? Be free from stubborn emotions and create the peace, happiness and freedom that you deserve.

Our emotions are created in 2 primary ways:

1) We consciously create our emotions using our will in the present moment.
2) Our subconscious mind automatically creates emotions reactions that we are not choosing to create in the present moment.

Wouldn't it be great to only feel the emotions that you choose to? Of course it would! Every person wants to be able to feel happiness, peace, joy, love, confidence, and all the other positive emotions all the time. But why don't we? Why does our subconscious mind create emotions that we do not enjoy? And why are these emotions so difficult to change

So probably it was a bad thing for me to go from BMI 25, to BMI 20 in recent 3 months? I should eat as much as I can, because in 6 months there won't be any food?

You are right. Many so-called "scientific" news publications spew out pseudoscientific nonsense mainly because the writers are funded by big corporations that don't want the masses to understand and realize that the collapse of industrial civilization is inevitable.

These so-called high priests of science, aka "scientists", are trying to fool the masses (the general public) into believing that their unsustainable, luxurious industrial life styles of mass consumerism can be sustained on alternative energies like photovoltaic/wind energy, nuclear fusion, zero-point energy and biofuels, when in fact no combination of alternative energies to fossil fuels can sustain the modern industrial life style of these pampered and spoiled life styles.

Plus, mainstream media tries to hide or ignore the global climate change problem caused by the ubiquitous usage of fossil fuels around the world.

Publications like "Nature" and "Science" just expouse the mainstream media's propoganda in order to keep business as usual going. That is...they want the general public to keep on mindlessly consuming useless products and services to maximize profits for big corporations.

Peak Oil.com and a handful of other websites are the only websites that publish reliable info about what is going on around the world today. Most of the Internet is full of outlandish and nonsensetical conspiracy theories masquerding as scientific facts.

All I can say is make the most out of everyday because every day in the future can be your last. Plus, it is especially important to have a positive outlook on life when you know that modern civilization doesn't have long to last.

Yes Desu, the mainstream media while acknowledging certain aspects of climate change woefully un-informs or misinforms the public about the Cataclysmic changes coming for the entire human species and modern industrial civilization. Your again right on the fact that it is about maintaining the attitude and momentum of business as usual. Thus we have squandered years and resources in which we could have at least tried to prepare for this enormous changes. Now, it is beyond our control and we are at the mercy of both natural forces and also the collective attitudes of large groups.

Yes, part of why I am here is to continuously reiterate the full extent of the grimness of our predicament not because I like too , goodness I wish all this was not so, but because it is the reality and will be the reality. While we here may disagree on some of the particulars and details we still are more closely aligned with each other than the masses who intentionally or because of the front of lies and deceit are clueless and oblivious to the Great Change coming. So whomever learns of all this can use this knowledge in whatever way they see fit, but at least they are ahead of the curve in realizing where we are headed. I too can only wish every human on Earth the absence of suffering and a better existence whether here or perhaps in some other existence.

The biggest problem we face is that most people have their heads up their butts. Or they have their head buried under the ground like an ostrich. Most people are willfully ignorant or blissfully unaware of the fact that the foundations of industrial civilization are being destroyed by industrial civilization itself because most people are just too distracted by capitialism's entertainment industrial complex. What I'm saying is most people spend all of their sparetime fooling around in the fantasies of video games, movies, cartoons, porn, recreational drugs and etc, so that they don't have to do the hard work of thinking and preparing things that actually matter to the survival of the human race.

Well, then that gives people like you and me an advantage. Again, the chance to truly tackle and solve these enormous problems, I think has past us by. All, you, I or anybody can do now is prepare individually or as a household both mentally and materially. If I am not mistaken your relatively still young especially compared to some of us on this site. So I imagine it should hit someone like you even harder. But despair is never an option. Take the attitude of this life is short anyway, so just realize that you can only control what you can, no more than that. If you look at my Icon it depicts a person alone looking out at a vast ocean. This view captures a sense of peace. So that is what to strive for Desu, find your peace and acceptance of anything and everything. I am 54 and am grateful for the miracle of existing. I am prepared to leave this existence in whatever way destiny deems. So acceptance and peace is what can can control and strive for.

It is probably already too late to prevent civilization from collapsing. Besides, it was always too late to save industrial civilization because IC is not sustainable. Industrial civilization isn't worth saving because it can't be saved, as it is unsustainable. The best we can do is make sure there are at least some survivors that can live off the remains of whatever modern civilization has left behind.

I do believe that because almost everything these days is stored digitially via electronic devices, our culture's remnants will become more ephermal. Contrary to popular belief, electronic data is very ephermal. In other words, it doesn't have very much lasting value or lacks in the ability to be preserved for long periods of time. Once industrial civilization falls apart, the electricity grid starts to turn off, rare earth minerals (necessary for the manufacture of electronic devices) become too scarce to extract and use for making electronic devices, what's the point of having virtually all of our culture stored in electronic devices if you can't even access it in the future when such devices become history? Digitial devices allow vast amounts of data to be stored, but due to its ephermal nature, data stored digitally is easily lost. Especially when there is no way to manufacture anymore digital devices in the future for accessing our culture, which has mostly become digitized or stored in digital devices. Much of the 20th century and beyond will become a gaping historical black hole (because of all of the digital data we will lose), except for the remnants of the plastics, radioactivity and soot we leave in the fossil record.

The biggest problem we face is most people feel exactly the same.

Take it from me, the best plan is to plan for everything you can, including not much of anything.
The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves -- in their separate, and individual capacities.

Enjoy the day, the moment, your family and friends. The details of preparations should not be made in gloom and a conviction of collapse. Rather, living within/below your means is simply a good way to live full of rewards and satisfaction.

After that, what happens simply doesn't matter if you have done your best in a mindful way. We can do no more.

It is a good day for a walk, today. Tomorrow, my wife leaves for a few days and I will be able to finish her Christmas present. It is a small table designed for breakfast in bed...or laptop use. Then, Christmas morning I will bring her coffee and breakfast in bed for her to enjoy. It is made from red alder cut on our property using mortise and tenon.

Plant, your picture said it all.
