ETP minus $8 and counting.

Hey smarmico. Going through my photobucket looking for personal photos? Internet stalking is about the grossest thing a person could do in a discussion forum. This is supposed to be a community. Shame on you.

Mods----Stalking is not specifically against the rules on this forum. It needs to be. This is unacceptable.

What do other forum members think of this disgusting behavior in their forum? Is this okay with everybody?

I must be having a pretty big impact here for all these industry sponsored trolls to put in such an effort against me personally. I guess I should be flattered. But I am not.

The above exchange just took place on the Etp Model Q & A thread.

I have witnessed pstarr being stalked by marmico on other threads. Now he seems to be turning his disgusting behavior toward me.

This is a community discussion forum. Internet stalking should not be tolerated here. Talk about poisoning the well!

I don't remember seeing internet stalking as a specific violation of the Code of Conduct of this site. I think such a rule needs to be added immediately.

What rules? You mean like the kind that should be instituted to keep pimps and salesmen for stupid models from polluting public discourse? Or endless cutting and pasting of discredited ideas from people who don't themselves have the ability to think and can only parrot others?

I think it would be good to have some rules to stop folks like that.

I would have to go back and look for it, but I remember marmico participating in your stalking. I think he is the stalking specialist who digs around like a worm and then feeds the info to big mouth trolls like AdamB.

How can we carry on civil discussions here with this sleezeball sh*t going on all the time? It makes the whole forum look bad and it drives good posters away. Why do the mods tolerate it?

Loren, don't you just pull out another piece of graph paper and draw another triangle of DOOM? You could stretch the x-axis, compress the y-axis, even draw partially filled candlesticks to smudge up the chart.

My name is Loren Soman but online I am known as...oil-prices-will-never-recover-t71020-340.html#p1321049

My name is Loren Soman. I am not hiding that. But considering the way things are these days, I don't exactly want you repeating my real name at every opportunity. I consider it a potential threat to the safety of myself and my family. It is also rude. Here, I am called SumYunGai.

So you are not just a stalker, you are a bully as well. And you are proud of it. Nice.

Why does this forum allow constant abusing, stalking, and bullying? The offenders are pretty easy to spot.

Dredging up personal information and stalking should be an automatic permanent ban. This subject should not even be debated, it is a form of assault and goes well beyond any ad hominem attacks and trolling.

There's three posters here who come across as the most cocky and dogmatic about their positions: Whatever, PStarr, and Shortonoil. Everyone else tends to couch their positions within a range of probability. If you truly want a dialogue you have to leave the door open to the possibility that you're wrong. It's an attempt to better understand the issues. Those who feel they already know everything there is to know and desire to only preach to the converted should go off and start their heavily moderated and filtered blogs.

In the meantime, don't be surprised if this arrogant dogmatic pronouncements tend to encourage the most ad hom-like rebuttals. It's what people do when they feel the other side doesn't even want to listen to what the other side has to say.

PStarr's sig says everything about his true feelings about internet decorum.

“Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host. But anger is like fire. It burns it all clean.”

This is a guy who alluded to shooting me with a rifle. He should have a restraining order on him by now.

All these wilting violets should spend some time looking in the mirror before crying foul.

I don't give a crap who the quote came from. It's the context. Someone who emphasizes the virtue of anger in his sig is saying something unflattering about his value-system.

It's the sense of satisfaction in ranting and raving and bashing. It's a problem that afflicts the majority of doomers. They are in love with their hate (for BAU). It provides them with a sense of purpose, of stability, regularity. It's easier to tear down than it is to build up, to fight against, rather than fight for, to point out problems rather than find (feasible) solutions. What shall we do with this anger? Maybe become eco-terrorists like Derrick Jensen would prefer? Most doomers are content being paper tigers, taking their frustration out behind their keyboards.

Color me unimpressed.

Someone who uses his sig to troll another member of this forum is severely disturbed. And it is hard not to notice that you just pigeon sh*tted all over this thread.

I guess I should have just kept my mouth shut. Now I seem to be experiencing technical problems:

General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Too many connections [1040]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists.

This is the message that pops up after about 5 minutes of trying to open a page. Every once in a great while a page will load. After about an hour's worth of trying, I am finally able to hopefully make this post. Do I need to put in a couple more hours to start a separate tech support thread about this latest problem?

I sure would appreciate it if a mod or admin could comment soon. Thanks.

If you're going to be stalky enough to chart my post-count I'm going to keep track of (potentially) embarassing predictions. This isn't facebook. Anything someone posts will be held in the archives, now over a decade deep.

What this exchange has proven is that your claims of being on your "best behavior" are, let's say, greatly exaggerated. Be the change you want to see, otherwise you're just contributing the problem and failing to recognize it. The mods will not and should not be forced to take sides when there's mutual mudslinging.

God forbid you'd have to refrain from posting for more than 5 minutes.
