Second Blizzard Heads for New England

Unread postby Cid_Yama » Mon 02 Feb 2015, 00:42:18

Did anybody hear about this 2nd storm before today?

The forecast this morning for North Texas said low of 41. It's now below freezing and wind chills in the teens.

Storm plastered Chicago and is headed for areas just hit in the Northeast on Monday.

They said the storm is slow moving and to expect big accumulations. Maybe New England gets to turn this into a five day weekend.

This one will finish as an ice storm for those of us near the French Canadian Riviera.

Here around Rockland county, NY not to bad expecting around 5 to 8 inches but certainly not advisable to drive today. At least they did not showcase it as a "historic storm". Just winter :-D

A few inches now, expecting a bit more than a foot total here, lots of snow, lots of wind. Luckily just like the last storm its wicked cold and so [fingers crossed] we should keep getting this fine light snow that won't affect power.

We have about 3 feet on the ground now, which is ridiculous, but we might get another foot or two later in the week.

12 below this morning and about ten inches yesterday and last night. Furry Bill keep your fingers crossed inside your gloves so they don't get frost bit.

We're missing out on this latest one, but I guess Boston will have 2 more feet to deal with by Tuesday morning!

Also, forecast calls for arctic chill come this weekend. Suggest everyone bundle up even down South.
