e-mail notifications

Unread postby careinke » Tue 05 Jan 2010, 11:58:41

I am no longer receiving e-mail notifications when new posts are written to topics I have subscribed to. Is it just me, or a board thing?

The last one I received was March 24, 2009. I used to ask when it would be fixed every couple of weeks but after a few snarky replies I gave up asking.

That only worked for the first month or so I was a member.

I completely forgot about it actually.

Worked for years, quit Apr 22, 2010.

I thought it had to do with the upgrade.

I was unsubscribed from all threads. Re-subscribing didn't help.

I resorted to reading the FAQ, which said I must also subscribe to forums, but that didn't help either.

Yes, the last notification I received was May 17, I presume the new software is still being worked on and it will start back up again at some point (fingers crossed)

Any word from the tech guys when/if this will be fixed? I used to rely on those notifications but now that they just don't happen, whatever I do, I visit the site only rarely.

PS: Anyone know why I'm not getting email notifications? I have that option ticked in my UCP
Dr James Hansen recommends breeder reactors that convert nuclear 'waste' into 1000 years of clean energy for America, and can charge all our light vehicles and generate "Blue Crude" for heavy vehicles.

You are NOT alone, as you can see there are several of us who have pointed out this problem now and then.

Thought I'd chime in as well. I'm a member of many different boards and this is the only one that no longer gives email notification. One of the reasons I'm rarely around here any longer, I'll make a post and get no notification of replies so I forget to come back. No one in charge seems to care about this feature.

It's conspiracy to make us visit the Active Discussions page everyday... oh wait i do that anyway, that's how i ended up reading this thread.
"That really annoying person you know, the one who's always spouting bullshit, the person who always thinks they're right?
Well, the odds are that for somebody else, you're that person.
So take the amount you think you know, reduce it by 99.999%, and then you'll have an idea of how much you actually know..."

Stop complaining, at least they don't charge us a fee for accessing this message board and related threads. Enjoy a good thing while it lasts!

You're kidding, right? None of the many free message boards charge for anything, and their email notifications work.
