Ali - One word of advice: don't pay attention to what anyone says here. Except Newfie...just ignore that he's a Canadian. Took me a while but eventually I forgave him for picking the wrong side of the border to live on.

Hi, thank you for welcoming. Let me introduce myself a little bit more.
I am actually running a bird-based blog "Birdfeederist.com" and looking to add a
forum category where the people can discuss about their birds. Let me know if
this will be good to add a forum category in my blog.

Alirazza,

As much as I like birds be aware that using this forum solely to promote another web site is off limits. Especially if that web site is a commercial (retail) venture.

That said there is much we discuss here that affects bird life, even though it is not directly noted. While our title is Peak Oil we spend a lot of time discussing Resource Depletion in general and the further allied events culminating in some form of collapse. Even our political discussions are spin offs of this cental concern. Thus we have threads on bees and permaculture etc.

Well by that logic we shouldn't listen to you? And if that's the case, then we should listen to everyone? lol lol

Welcome Ali, fun times we live in eh. This site is a good clearing house for energy related stories.

Hi Alirazza:

Welcome to our happy little chat site.

I'm just back from watching cranes at the interior Alaska crane festival. There were hundreds of cranes, many with colts (baby cranes are called colts) all collecting at a large local bird sanctuary here in central Alaska before they start their migration back south. I had both my image stabilizing canon binos and my Nikon binos......the Nikons are great, but you can't beat the much more expensive high tech image stabilizing canon binoculars.

Cheers!
