Let me be the first to shit on his Chapter 20 installation. He describes the widest possible range of outcomes and then refuses to weigh in on what the most likely outcome would be.

Then, he says that we're each personally responsible for ourselves.

How is this valuable information? I don't see it.

I finally watched some of this tonight. I'm through chapter 12. Wow, it's amazing. I think his explanations of money, debt, and how it all fits together are by far the best I've seen. I've always had trouble understanding that stuff, and now not only do I understand it much better, but I also understand why I didn't understand it before!

Fantastic report!! The message is clearly stated: The world as we know it will cease to exist in a fairly short period of time, just like so many here have stated over and over, but never quite this eloquently.

This had to happpen to become part of the world order. The extremely high lifestyle of america had to be reduced drastically to fit into and balance into allowing a one world system, everyone knew that, and this is the trip, the bus has left, next stop:

No middle class. Then we can have a world plan put into place.

We must get back to the Lord's and serfs of the dark ages 99 percent serfs and 1% Lord's this is how it was for 2000 years, and it is the only way we can do it.

Secondly we have to decrease population to have enough room for the serfs, since we have no more middle class money/oil powered houses with hot cold running water, not enough resource for this.

But, the PTB certainly want our exc cesses today to be their excesses and to put us back in our place, and they will not let the genie of freedom ever escape from their bottle again.

America, was the great experiment that shows what happens when men are let loose and become free, they assumed America would falter within 20 years instead it outshone the european old world order and made the rules, shocker.

now they have to stuff the genie back in the battle.

Why?

Cause optherwise they can't be in charge.. There it is, the great experiment is over but for the bankruptcies.

If America would have been allowed to continue without central bank initiated collapse, what would have happened would have been freedom from tyranny forever.

This option was not considered or wanted, You must have tyranny if you are to have slaves.

Anyway the bus has left, we are now on the final phase of destroying the middle class, and it will never appear again.

Its a long trip, 3 years, and the majority of people starve along the way but it is necessary to get there, no peak oil, we wont last that long.

I was bored and disappointed.

But don't let this dissuade anyone from viewing the rest of this brilliant presentation. He delineates the problems we have with growth and then can't choke out a solution--what does that tell you?

The subtext of the last chapter is OH FICK THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO.

I think it's clear where the guy stands, and reading some of his blog posts and whatnot, he is preparing for something near the end of the spectrum, perhaps even a total breakdown of government services.

He wanted to be impartial rather than saying, "Okay, step 1: Pull all your money out of your bank account..." He won't weigh in on the most likely outcome because he says he's unsure (a lie!) and would rather just get you to assess yourself and figure it out on your own depending on what you come up with.

I appreciate what energybulletin called his "hyper-rational" approach to assessing and preparing. That turns off some people however.

By the way, he has a great questionnaire under the "act" section of his website (signing up is FREE). It's 5 pages and will get you to think about everything that could happen up to his governmental collapse scenario.

Ch. 20 may not be his strongest effort, but it was successful in providing a FRAMEWORK for action, which is what he set out to achieve. I give it a thumbs-up.

Here's something that a friend mentioned. I think it's a really good way to tell people about peak oil and it's economic ramifications. He explains the connection between money and peak oil, and what to do about it in a great way. He doesn't offer specific reccomendations, but provides a framework for making decisions about the future. It's a really good way of doing it:

I didn't know about it until last night, but I think it's a great course. It's like peak oil in a nutshell. He's a great teacher!
