Earth Day 2010: How Far We’ve Come, How Far We’ve Yet to Go

March 2010 was the hottest on record worldwide, 1.4 degrees hotter than March 1970. The NOAA’s National Climate Data Center reports that temperatures for the last 40 years have been hotter than at any time in the last 130 years, the extent of their data.

The “Climategate” scientists were proven to have performed no data chicanery with their research that supports the existence of the human factor in global climate change. And this week, a group of German scientists published an analysis which said the greenhouse gas agreement reached in Copenhagen last December would lead to a 10 to 20 percent increase in carbon dioxide levels in 2020, the opposite effect to what the intent of the gathering was.
