Dmitry Orlov: Reinventing Collapse & Preparing for Survival
Ian Gordon and Dmitry Orlov return to update us on the “progress” of the breakdown of social order in the Western world caused by debt/GDP levels that far surpass those of the 1930s. Orlov’s book, Reinventing Collapse outlines the stages of decline starting with the financial system and ending with a basic breakdown of infrastructure, law and order. We will ask him where we are in that fateful chain of events. Ian will update us on the “progress” of the Kondratieff Winter and to also paint a picture of how life will be when the system collapses. What will it mean for our global and domestic political structure? How can you protect yourself and your family against the assault of increasingly fascist/communist governments? Barron’s Economist Gene Epstein will talk about the next NYC Junto and hopefully provide a bit of optimism about the U.S. economy.

There is no US Economy left. There IS a corporatocracy that is bleeding the last drop out of the middle class. What is left is a contracting GDP and a failing capitalist financial system. The countdown has begun, but we don’t know where we are on the clock…yet. I suspect we will know soon. Events are speeding up and once the Olympics are over, reality will be back in force.
