Energy From Fusion In Two Years

Alternative Energy

TAE Technologies will bring a fusion-reactor technology to commercialization in the next five years, its CEO announced recently at the University of California, Irvine.

The notion that you hear fusion is another 20 years away, 30 years away, 50 years away—it’s not true,” said Michl Binderbauer, CEO of  the company formerly known as Tri Alpha Energy. “We’re talking commercialization coming in the next five years for this technology.”

That trajectory is considerably sooner than Binderbauer described when he took over as CEO in 2017. It would put TAE ahead of two formidable competitors. The 35-nation ITER project expects to complete its demonstration reactor in France in 2025. Vancouver-based General Fusion Inc. is devoting the next five years, with support from the Canadian government, to developing a prototype of its fusion reactor. And the Massachusetts Institute of Technology announced last March that it expects to bring its fusion reactor to market in ten years.

For more than 20 years TAE has been pursuing a reactor that would fuse hydrogen and boron at extremely high temperatures, releasing excess energy much as the sun does when it fuses hydrogen atoms. Lately the California company has been testing the heat capacity of its process in a machine it named Norman after the late UC Irvine physicist Norman Rostoker.

Its next device, dubbed Copernicus, is designed to demonstrate an energy gain. It will involve deuterium-tritium fusion, the aim of most competitors, but a milestone on TAE’s path to a hotter, but safer, hydrogen-boron reaction.

Binderbauer expects to pass the D-T fusion milestone within two years.

“What we’re really going to see in the next couple years is actually the ability to actually make net energy, and that’s going to happen in the machine we call Copernicus,” he said in a “fireside chat” at UC Irvine, appearing alongside actor Harry Hamlin (of “Clash of the Titans” and “LA Law”), who was an early supporter and a co-founder of the company.

Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen was another prominent supporter, and Alphabet/Google a shareholder. More after the jump…

TAE’s Copernicus project will demonstrate energy from fusion, the company’s CEO said.National Academy of Sciences

TAE has been funded so far by more than $500 million in private equity.

“An endeavor as monumental as this requires an upfront commitment of very substantial proportions, which runs counter to the way most R&D money is parceled out,” according to the company’s website. “With TAE operating as a private company, we have been able to research, experiment and iterate more rapidly than our competition.”

But TAE is ready now to talk to the government.

“We’re in the process of funding and putting that project together right now,” Binderbauer said of Copernicus. “We’re working actually for the first time with the DOE, in some form of a relationship where they’re gonna contribute some in-kind, and this will be a sort of public-private partnership to pull that off, and then it goes to commercialization.”

The previous post was obviously mobster. Back to real life:

    https://www.daserste.de/information/wissen-kultur/ttt/sendung/sendung-vom-20012019-100.html

Germans are getting officially nervous by the rising power of China (the Russians already were for some time) and give ear to an author who warns that the West is deeply underestimating China. Copy-cat time is over, they are now ready for prime time innovation world champ.

What the Germans are really afraid of is that the Chinese will not only export their cheap products, but also their authoritarian political model. The German media leftist-globalists (following the racial-egalitarian logic of the empire) have no illusions about the Chinese system, that is essentially hardcore nationalist, socialist-national (or the other permutation) or in empire-speak: “racist” and chauvinist.

The establishment-Germans have no solution to counter this threat, because they wouldn’t like that solution and they still hope that “the West” will deal with it, in the time after Trump, when all things will return to normal-libtard again. It won’t.

The only way to prevent a Chinese owned planet is PBM + North-American hinterland. Obviously this is one bridge too far for 1968-Berlin.

However, the West is walking on its last legs, even the real owners admit that:

The breakdown of the West could proceed as follows:

    https://www.infowars.com/video-jones-and-stone-warn-trump-of-impending-disaster/

The Dems trying to topple Trump via impeachment, which could cause the political system going into chaos. The Chinese could seek to take advantage of that and do what they already announced they will do: claim and enforce ownership of South China Sea, Taiwan and perhaps Philippines and even South-Korea and neutralize US-bases there.

If America sinks into chaos, the Germans and other Europeans are suddenly without overlord an protection and the influence of pro-Russian populists will increase.

First clogged, China is going bankrupt on its many poor investments at home and abroad. The BRI is one corrupt failure after another. Their business models are failures. This is a policy pushed on policy not economic reality. This is not just abroad their investments are bad internally and this is why there is all the credit creation is occurring in China. The authorities are struggling to keep zombie companies going for social reasons. You don’t understand this because you have no business background. You are just a keyboard junkie. Your PBM is a total wack job fantasy in your constructed in your head for many unrelated sources. There is no reality to it even among your populist pals. Sure, there is populist desire for good relations with Russia but nowhere is there PBM except in obscure places you find on extremist alternative internet sites. Its fantasy clogged, wake up.

Clogged, JuanP started stealing my identity in October in a daily and routine way. I know his games this has been going on so long. I don’t doubt MOB is at it too but not like JuanP. JuanP is mentally off in unreality and enjoys screwing with people.

I’m right with you on that post Davy. And I agree I need to to wake up. China is a basket case no more banging on about EV, s and A. I, s Wind and solar suck and the whole system is going down.

“China is going bankrupt on its many poor investments at home and abroad.”

Typical American wishful thinking, in assuming that the fate of a thousands year old nation/civilization is determined by current financial ups-and-downs. A nation is blood-and-soil first and finances last. But a natural-born stock-chart-gazer like you will never understand that… until you wake up in the ordeal of CW2.

The Chinese have a past and a future because they are a biological nation.

America (in its present shape) has no future, because it is not a mono-race-based nation, but instead it is a zoo. A nation-of-immigrants like the US is not a nation, it is merely a busy railway-platform, passengers come and go, without them having anything to do with each other.

In Britain, 200 years is considered minimum to have a proper lawn. In order to be able to call yourself a nation you need at least 500-1000 years undisturbed interbreeding, without outside interference, other than wars, which only help solidifying nation-building. America could have become a real nation, namely one of ethnic Europeans, were it not for the 1965 kiken act of sabotage:

    https://www.migrationpolicy.org/sites/default/files/source_images/FE-1965Act-2015.jpg

Unsuspecting and naive Anglo-Americans, witnessing how a shrewd closet-kike from Texas signs the death warrant of white America in 1965, after he wasted his master first, so he could take his place and commit the assassination.

“Your PBM is a total wack job fantasy in your constructed in your head for many unrelated sources. There is no reality to it even among your populist pals.”

We all know what is reality and what is not. What is interesting is to foresee what the next reality is going to be. It is as simple as adding 1+1. It is drawing conclusion from simple observations. If you accept the following:

    – China is going to replace America as the next global top dog.
    – America is going to descend into inter-ethnic chaos, because of white America approaching minority status, where Dems and Reps are morphing into civil war combat machines.
    – EU-unity is holding, globalist Britain failed to blow it up from within.
    – Russia, that is pushed into the arms of China, because of reckless western behavior, gives clear signs it wants to belong to Europe, as it is scared to death of meteoric rising China.
    – Populism in Europe is rising fast, in protest against the One World mass immigration schemes of its leftist establishment.
    – The world is essentially dynamic. What was yesterday and is today, won’t be tomorrow. I know that davy loves the status quo, because he instinctively knows it will never get any better for America. He would love to freeze the status quo. But the harder he shouts “racist” and “natzi”, the more he shoots himself in the foot. Because the status quo he loves so much is rooted in white America, not third world USA. The more demography shifts, the closer his country approaches the abyss of inevitable inter-ethnic strife and break-up.

    These are the observations.
Now the conclusions and predictions of what will come next.

As soon as America will enter severe inter-ethnic conflict, China will jump into the power-vacuum and expand its sphere of influence in East-Asia.

Likewise, the necessity and the SCO-arrangement will disappear and Russia will distance itself from a too-strong embrace with China.

The European US-vassals are observing that their overlord-protector is disappearing (in a similar fashion as happened to the Eastern Europeans during the eighties). They will realize that something needs to be done to balance the seemingly unstoppable rise of China. An alliance with Russia is the only answer that makes sense.

PBM, it is not rocket science.

Latest re-inauguration of president Vladimir Putin. Who is his foreign guest of honor? Former German chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, not some Chinese dignitary.
