For a minute there I thought I had to get off my couch, when all the while the fact is we don't have to do anything much but keep things afloat for just a few decades more! In fact, we'd best shut up about PO, because if our offspring finds out we knew about it all along, they'll turn and wring our necks come 2036!

A $25 increase on $125 is 20%, and there are another 7.5 months to do it. Heck, we have been moving faster than that for the past year. I don't see the bubble that everyone wants to see.

If the dollar tanks further or a MAJOR disruption then I believe we can see $150. If things continue as of right now I doubt we will see $150. But I could be wrong and actually hope I am.

It's just another 15%. Hair cuts get 20% more expensive every month.

I think it probably will hit $150. OTOH, I do think speculation is running the price up some. If all the speculators changed course or if we had an event like Katrina that knocked out a bunch of refining capacity, then it could drop back down to $100 for a few months.

By the time the next USA president will take office, oil will be 500 US Dollars a more, bringing gas to an average cost of 20 dollars per gallon. And no, I don't own any oil stock or any stock at all. I am a typical West Virginian, living day by day. :)

That's a given; as long as we permit oil and other commodities to be sold on the stockmarket the speculators control the prices of eveything.

You betcha! The world's oil supplies are dwindling and the dollar's buying power is crashing through the ocean floor because of our international debts. Even Europeans are considering refusing our money....

Give it 2, maybe 3 months, and we'll see it. Right now, oil is already at $133.00/barrel!

We have banks buying tankfarms and hoarding oil to the tune of at least 25 mbss. Iran is hoarding oil in ships in the gulf totalling at least 20 mbs. Speculation? You betya. But at one point there will be no more places left to store crude, or the bottom pops out and these harders will be forced to sell. We have the first signs american motorist are cutting back their oil consumption some. It all looks like a very good set-up short if you ask me. No $150 this year... Or $100 before we see $150.

Well it appears world wide imports of oil declined for the first time in 2005.

By 2007 the decline had grown to
100 million barrels per year.

It was forecast fr growth, but saw a
reduction in imports for the first time
in modern history.

This is a sure sign of peak oil if there
every was one.
