They should be raising it more so people change…of course people don’t get elected then.

For young people in France it will soon be direct from post-doc studies to young retiree. No need to commute to a job and since they will have plenty of time, they can walk everywhere: good for health! What are they complaining about? France is a beautiful country; they can take their monthly one-month “vacances” between two unemployment checks closer to home!

Or they can come work here in Shanghai. Luxury buffets in the city are all attended by young Frenchmen. Their ancestors must be rolling and growling in their graves!

The global economy was built on cheap oil. That is coming to an end. It is becoming more costly to ship goods around the country and the world. Planes, trains, boats, trucks and cars all use oil for transportation fuel. Bring out the bicycle for short distance travel. Speed up the transition to electric, flex-fuel, hybrid, CNG and LNG fueled vehicles for longer distances and the delivery of goods. The oil monopoly on transportation fuels is coming to an end. The high price of oil will force the change.
