North Korea nuclear attack REVEALED: 90% of US population ‘would DIE’

Expert: Nuclear EMP would leave us ‘fighting for survival’

Hermit kingdom dictator Kim Jong-un has claimed he has the capability to hit mainland US with his rockets. He’s brazenly carried out nuclear and missile tests to showcase his terrifying weapons.

Though it has been claimed today Kim may be “lying about the lastest ballistic missile test”.

Kim Jong-un has threatened to nuke the US GETTYATTACK: Kim Jong-un has threatened to nuke the US

“They would be left fighting for survival and running out of food”

Al Jazeera journalist

Now an Al Jazeera report has revealed how a nuclear blast above the US would leave “320 million Americans running out of food and fighting for survival”.

Kim would “destroy modern life as we know it” if he carries out his terrifying threat, the report said.

The blast would lead to an electric shockwave.

It would fry all electronic circuits in a target zone. This would be expanded with if a detonation happened at higher altitude.

It would lead the US to be plunged into darkness, hospitals would shut, the stock exchange would collapse, and phones become useless.

Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un GETTYANGER: Donald Trump and Kim have traded insults this year

A journalist reporting for Al Jazeera said: “Most of the trappings of the 21st century would simply stop working.”No car or plane would move, no police officer or fireman could be called, no supermarket restocked.

“Modern life as we know it would simply cease to exist.”

Almost all of the US would be affected by the blast.

He added: “Very little blast damage would be felt at first but more than 320 million Americans would find themselves without light and without power.”They would be left fighting for survival and running out of food.

“Up to 90% of Americans would die, and it would take months, if not years, to fully recover.”

This isn’t the first time this figure has come up.Nuclear strategist Peter Vincent – who used to work at the CIA – told a Homeland Security subcommittee that an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack threatens to wipe out all but 10% of the US population.

He said: “The US can sustain a population of 320 million people only because of modern technology.

“An EMP that blacks-out the electric grid for a year would (decimate) the critical infrastructure necessary to support such a large population.”

    Sounds like a plan.
But it’s Russia and China that will nuke the US once it is no longer useful.
The only way to have a world govtardment. That’s been the plan at least since Marx

Ignorance is bliss.  Demonize NoKo and Russia.  That way the Demonic Party can regain power in D.C. and take it away from the Deplorables.  And, of course, it is impossible for the U.S. to be strategically weakening vis-à-vis the rest of the world.  The JewsNews tells us so.  After all, we have video games and flat-screen TVs, so we must be impervious to Rocket Men or cyber threats of any kind.  The masses demand freebies and (sniff) acceptance of illegal invaders, so grant all the latter citizenship and SNAP cards on entry.  Just put it on the tab for future suckers to pay.

    Ain’t democracy a blast?

The first year, 90% is probably correct. Not one in 1,000 homes has more than a week’s food supply and most have no way to heat it if the power goes out. No flush toilets. Not even water in most cases. Not to mention the lifesaving drugs most American’s need to survive.

The die-off would be by the millions weekly. No cars, trucks, ambulance’, etc. No-one to even bury the dead. Disease everywhere. Mad Max on steroids.

  5. Cloggie on Sun, 24th Dec 2017 3:55 am

I’m not so 100% convinced that a large country like China or the US would be knocked out by a single EMP pulse.

But there is another, overlooked aspect of the consequences of a big city of big country A being annihilated by a big country B.

Suppose LA evaporates under a Chinese nuclear blast. What do you think will happen in both China and the US? Answer: every big city dweller in both countries will think: we could be next and will attempt to flee from his city. Imagine biblical scenes of tens of millions on the road, soon without fuel and food and shelter. Total chaos. The rulers of both countries would lose control over their countries as a consequence. That’s why the hurdle of actually using nukes between big countries is pretty high. Stalin already knew that nukes are useless because you can’t use them other than as a means of last resort when the enemy is approaching your capital.

In the unlikely case that North-Korea would file a missile towards the US (assuming it can in the first place, very unsure), the US has means to intercept that missile. Scenario here:

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2017/world/north-korea-missile-defense/?utm_term=.1b9ea40134a2

If a NK nuke would indeed explode over the US, expect the US to obliterate NK, without having to fear that China will retaliate.

We all live on a speck of sand in a beach universe..we all are lucky to be alive on a planet that has life.
No one man, or country should have the right to destroy that. We all should learn to love and respect each other and progress in the name of humanity .
One planet, one humanity, all working together in peace to build a better future for all in every part of the whole world.
It would be so awesome if we could all learn to help and love one another..let’s grow together..not destroy our precious lives.
Let’s please get a hold of ourselves and stop losing our minds and killing each other. …please. The future depends on us , or there is no future for our children.

In a way 80 – 90% of the country is already dead and rotten inside.

The US has reached the last stage before collapse

-In this op-ed, James Traub argues that America has become “decadent and depraved.”

-He explains what decadence means, and how it’s tied to corruption.

-“Decadence is usually understood as an irreversible condition — the last stage before collapse,” he writes.

The marks of imperial decadence appeared not only in grotesque displays of public opulence and waste, but also in the collapse of faith in reason and science.

Perhaps in a democracy the distinctive feature of decadence is not debauchery but terminal self-absorption—

We listen to necromancers who prophesy great things while they lead us into disaster. We sneer at the idea of a “public” and hold our fellow citizens in contempt. We think anyone who doesn’t pursue self-interest is a fool.

We cannot blame everything on Donald Trump, much though we might want to.

    -A decadent elite

    – Trump functions as the impudent id of this culture of mass contempt

    –Targeted tax cuts

I certainly didn’t vote for Ronald Reagan, but I cannot imagine him using tax policy to reward supporters and punish opponents.

-A democratic society becomes decadent when its politics become moraly and intellectually corrupt

He would have thought that grossly unpatriotic.

    http://www.businessinsider.com/us-reached-last-stage-before-collapse-2017-12

    http://www.businessinsider.com/us-reached-last-stage-before-collapse-2017-12

Trump is a disgusting, uncouth, corrupt criminal, but I agree with the author that he is the end game. A symptom and a big flashing sign for everything that has gone wrong with US elites and voters.

I was no Reagan fan, but he was practically a saint compared to todays crew and he would abhor what the GOP has become. Whole thing really.

It’s just so far gone and there are so few Americans of reason with any influence anymore. I don’t see any hope for any meaningful reform. When America worked it was because they were a nation of laws that were, by and large, upheld. The criminal elites and their managerial class have spent the last 40 years circumnavigating and perverting the laws and checks and balances. The constitution is now all but meaningless. It has been defiled.

There are so many crazy, but 100% certain, idealogical retards out there that it is probably safest to lay low while they rip each other apart.

  18. onlooker on Sun, 24th Dec 2017 6:00 pm

Morally, many in the US were already like that decades ago. Only now it is becoming evident how loathsome typical American characteristics are because suddenly we cannot live in the world of hedonism and self absorption because negative events are intruding on our selfish petty distractions. And suddenly a helping hand is what some of us are beginning to need. But realize that this country abandoned these time honored virtues quite some time ago and our leaders exemplify best the sad and sordid path we took

This can be said of the global civilization we are in just as much as it is about the US. This is a human phenomenon not just an American one.

    “The Strangelovian Russia-gate Myth”
    https://tinyurl.com/y7ntgqld

“History reveals, overreach and the passage of time renders the aspirations of imperium a nimbus of dust; its grandiose pronouncements a cacophony of strutting clowns; its belief in its inviolable nature and its trumpeted tales of vaunted exceptionalism the stuff of asylum-dweller gibbering. On the contrary, a sense of perspective imparts the knowledge, late empire is a fool’s inferno played out on a landscape ridden with exponentially increasing decay. The storylines of the beneficiaries and operatives of vast systems of runaway power concoct are, more often than not, self-justifying fictions. Cover stories and flat-out prevarications, rolled out for the purpose of hiding the prevailing order’s actions and motives, come to dominate the socio-cultural-political sphere. Views running counter to reigning narratives are apt to be marginalized and/or met with scorn, rage and revulsion. A dangerous one-sidedness prevails. Analogous to the laws governing thermodynamic equilibrium, when a governor (or speed limiter or controller) switch has been rendered inoperative, a state of thermic runaway comes into play. We are talking the stuff of runaway trains, flaming out super novas, nervous breakdowns, and overreaching empires. By suppressing countervailing views, empires create chaos and carnage and will, in the end, meet their demise by self-annihilation. The rage for total dominance and attendant overreach of capitalist/U.S. militarist hegemony has wrought the phenomenon on a global-wide basis. The governor switch within the greed and power crazed minds of the corporate, military, and governing elite, by all indications, is inoperable. Impervious to the consequences of their recklessness, ranting about Russians, they careen through the Anthropocene. At present, the whole of humankind is held in the thrall of a trajectory of doom. Yet their power is hinged on the ability to dominate the storyline. Withal, complicity translates to destiny usurped. Conversely, the first measure towards a restoration of equilibrium is to call out a lie.”

The time to dwell on the vices of the human race is over. The US does not have a monopoly on vices. Every government and corporation is both victim and perpetuator of the maddress borne of pursuing wealth and power. Every rich citizen is an accessory willingly or unwilling
We need to come together and confront our common challenges. And access our virtues

onlooker, I don’t disagree with you, but there is something going on in your country that is unique and a barrier to even having an adult conversation. Who knows the answer to that for sure, but this guy has a few good questions for y’all. Worth listening to and pondering.

What Do You Call a World That Can’t Learn From Itself?

Why Don’t Americans Understand How Poor Their Lives Are?

“but I don’t wish to write a jeremiad, for I am not a pundit. The question is this: why don’t Americans understand how poor their lives have become? Is it even a fair question to ask?

Of course, one can speak of capitalism and false consciousness and class war, of technology hypnotizing people with outrage. But I think there is a deeper truth here. There is a myth of exceptionalism in America that prevents it from looking outward, and learning from the world. It is made up of littler myths about greed being good, the weak deserving nothing, society being an arena, not a lever, for the survival of the fittest — and America is busy recounting those myths, not learning from the world, in slightly weaker (Democrats) or stronger (Republicans) forms. Still, the myths stay the same — and the debate is only really about whether a lightning bolt or a thunderstorm is the just punishment from the gods for the fallen, and a palace or a kingdom is the just reward for the cunning”

If you are bored this morning and want an entertaining real life detective story read this. I don’t know what to believe anymore other than it is clear the rule of law in Washington DC is not what it used to be. Maybe it never was and we only naively thought it was. On the other hand I do think these events are part of an entropic process that systems of governments go through where corruption becomes endemic. Collapse is a process and this condition points to, in this case, a blatant moral hazard that cascaded into a disregard for the electoral process because of political bias and lack of professional judgment. This case actually appears worse but we will never know for sure because of political shadings and the animation these stories take on. Whether you like the Democrats or the Republicans does not matter here. It points to the political culture of Washington DC of which both parties and all their various support groups are accomplices to and complicit in. It points to a government no longer trust worthy. It points to a lie and the lives lies take on.

“Was the Steele Dossier the FBI’s ‘Insurance Policy’? “
    https://tinyurl.com/y7fvlszf

“In conclusion, while there is a dearth of evidence to date that the Trump campaign colluded in Russia’s cyberespionage attack on the 2016 election, there is abundant evidence that the Obama administration colluded with the Clinton campaign to use the Steele dossier as a vehicle for court-authorized monitoring of the Trump campaign — and to fuel a pre-election media narrative that U.S. intelligence agencies believed Trump was scheming with Russia to lift sanctions if he were elected president. Congress should continue pressing for answers, and President Trump should order the Justice Department and FBI to cooperate rather than — what’s the word? — resist.”

The source for this previously unknown information is the well known right-wing rag, The National Review. This is the same publication that trashed Trump throughout the nomination process; however, as soon as Trump was elected president, The National Review suffered from a case of immediate onset dementia. Trump went from the destroyer of the Republican party to the second coming of Christ. No shame, just the most grotesque boot licking imaginable.

I am saying they are all part of it but you want to say only “they” are part of it, as in, the it’s “them” the opposition. Until we get past the many people like you on both sides the lies will be perpetuated. Blind belief in our side and them is human nature but wisdom is needed to self-reflect as much as to criticize.

What part of my comment is incorrect? Your source for the information is entirely partisan and biased- same as the “Pizzagate” bullshit you publicized over and over. Or the Seth Rich bullshit story you used to banter about. If you can’t present the truth, then fabricate a story about the evil Democratic party. Just one problem. We Democrats do not stoop to the level of your political party as so nicely presented in this section. If you were honest, then the source of the information must be taken into account before presenting information as the gospel truth-journalism 101. Your motivation for writing this commentary is transparent.

When information like the following is brought to light, the Republicans then present fabricated stories like “Pizzagate” (the Dems were operating a pedophilia club in New York) to create the illusion of an equivalency, while in reality it’s a false equivalency.

    “Real Documented News”

Watch the shocking Discovery Channel/BBC/ITN documentary posted to YouTube titled, “Conspiracy of Silence” about the widespread sexual abuse of the boys at Boys’ Town by numerous national Republican politicians and wealthy financial donors (Note: my cousin was sexually abused by these perverts when he was 14/15 and was so disturbed that he committed suicide at age 17- he was bright, athletic, kind, and good looking with his whole life in front of him). You will hear former Republican Nebraska State Senator and chairman of the state committee charged with investigating the affair, Loran Schmit, state that the pedophilia reached the highest levels of the Republican Party. Despite tremendous pressure from the Reagan Whitehouse and RNC to bury the scandal, Senator Schmit refused to be intimidated. The senator was so shocked and disgusted by the findings of the investigative committee that he resigned from the Republican party and returned to farming. Thank you, Senator Schmit, for your integrity.
The Republican National Committee attempted to whitewash the Boys’ Town scandal by purchasing the documentary’s publication rights for a monumental sum; fortunately, a few copies were leaked before the evidence could be destroyed. Sadly, few people are aware of the Boys’ Town tragedy, which is why I am doing everything possible to make the public aware of the facts.

Geeze, Der Hund, how many times have you referenced that story? That is your standard retort when you are stumped. It is a clear indication you are at an impass. Can’t you debate current events not with complete partisan positions? My comment is a reflection on the entire political system in a Washington as broken. Trump is a manifestation of this and a result. You need a good look in the mirror Der Hund. What I see is a mess.

  35. Ghung on Mon, 25th Dec 2017 9:58 am

Davey said; “My comment is a reflection on the entire political system in a Washington as broken. Trump is a manifestation of this and a result. You need a good look in the mirror Der Hund. What I see is a mess.”

And why is that political system broken? Trump wasn’t elected by Washington. He was elected by people with perceptions of how things are and hoping to change things. In reality, they through shit at the wall to see if it would stick, and their perceptions are based on mass-scale disinformation propagated by PACs, corporate-formed propaganda machines, special interests, and biased media, all controlled by people who most of us never heard of, and who don’t give a damn about those voters’ lives. In short, it’s money chasing more money.

So I would say Davey and DerHundistlos are both right in part.

If one wants to see which side of the political spectrum is more successful at fomenting disinformation, one need only look at the election results in any election cycle. This time it was clearly the republicans.

Want to fix government? Repeal Citizens’ United, get big money out of politics, and educate people better. People voting with their lizard brains is not a good way to select our leadership.

Good luck with any of that. People want/need to be told their lives will be better, and don’t want to hear that their future is loaded with predicaments that will never be solved, which is why we have predicaments in the first place. It’s a sort of cognitive dissonance paradox.

  36. Davy on Mon, 25th Dec 2017 10:23 am

Ghung, I can agree, but I would add that Trump was almost not elected becuase of Washington and Hillary was given a jail pass becuase of Washington. I would like to see the science deniers gone but the games Hillary played must stop also. Unfortunately that means the whole auditorium needs to be emptied. The chances of that happening are low except maybe for martial law in a coming crisis that will surely happen one day at the rate we are going.

Derhund, in the end it was the Republican Supreme Court that saw it to its completion.

    @ Siss

Yes, as always, you spoke the truth. Thus my point that the Republican talking point that both parties are just as bad is a false narrative. The goal of the Republicons is to bring the Democratic party down to their level and by doing so, elevate their public opinion.

“@ Ape Amazingly prescient and powerful article.”

Wow, that was brown nose. LOL.

I see that the editors of this site agree with me since the article is now being profiled on the front page. No, cynic Davy, just a statement of FACT.

    @ Davy

I appreciate your desire to make me out to be a caricature since it makes your accusations appear to have some modicum of credibility. The fact of the matter, is I freely admit my political leanings. That does not equate to blind loyalty. When the Dems are wrong, I have no issue in pointing this out. While you claim to be neutral, the facts prove otherwise. The only political articles you publicize on this site are attacks, regardless of truth, on one political party.

The truth shall set you free.

“I appreciate your desire to make me out to be a caricature since it makes your accusations appear to have some modicum of credibility. “
Der hund, I expose extremist and people who push agendas. You are a political hack. I hate politics. If I delve in it then it is because it is part of my doom narrative. The politics in Washington DC these days is systematic decay. It is dangerous and it is destructive and you are very much part of it.

“The fact of the matter, is I freely admit my political leanings. That does not equate to blind loyalty. When the Dems are wrong, I have no issue in pointing this out.”
BULLSHIT, I have NEVER seen you point out anything the dems do that is bad. You are all about a steady rambling of regurgitate on the Republicans and IMA rightly so. What is so ugly about you is how you ignore the sins of your ugly degenerate party. DISGUSTING

“While you claim to be neutral, the facts prove otherwise. The only political articles you publicize on this site are attacks, regardless of truth, on one political party. The truth shall set you free.”
BULLSHIT, der hund, the only reason I am so hard on dems is there are no repub’s on this forum. Geeze, this forum is a liberal paradise for extremist. I attack the dems because you are here and you are hypocrites. If you are going to talk up the dems do it right. If you are going to peddle extremist agenda I will make you eat crow. I can’t stand hypocrisy and extremism. You are doing the dems a disservice by talking them up when they are so bad. The science denying repubs are obviously horrible and this is called out very well on this forum. Science denying has no justification. LOOK IN THE MIRROR

Yep, and every deplorable fact I “regurgitate” on the Republicans is FACTUAL in contrast to the fantasy conspiracy theories, as I detailed above, you constantly regurgitate all over the Democrats.

This is the fundamental difference between us ->FACT vs FICTION< so cut the sanctimonious diatribe.

” the only reason I am so hard on dems ”

At least you now admit that your criticisms are not unbiased nor objective.

    Making progress.

Sure Der Hund, your are as bad as Tulip with rephrasing what people say. As long as you are an extremist liberal at a time when they are completely corrupted you are
going to look stupid. Pretty much every time you open your mouth you spew blind denial.
