Kunstler: Stormy Weather

Public Policy

For those of us who are not admirers of President Trump, it’s even more painful to see the Democratic opposition descend into the stupendous dishonesty of the Russian Collusion story. When the intelligentsia of the nation looses its ability to think — when it becomes a dis-intelligentsia — then there are no stewards of reality left. Trump is crazy enough, but the “resistance” is dragging the country into dangerous madness.

It’s hard not to be impressed by the evidence in the public record that the FBI misbehaved pretty badly around the various election year events of 2016. And who, besides Rachel Maddow, Anderson Cooper, and Dean Baquet of The New York Times, can pretend to be impressed by the so far complete lack of evidence of Russian “meddling” to defeat Hillary Clinton? I must repeat: so far. This story has been playing for a year and a half now, and as the days go by, it seems more and more unlikely that Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller is sitting on any conclusive evidence. During this time, everything and anything has already leaked out of the FBI and its parent agency the Department of Justice, including embarrassing hard evidence of the FBI’s own procedural debauchery, and it’s hard to believe that Mr. Mueller’s office is anymore air-tight than the rest of the joint.

If an attorney from Mars came to Earth and followed the evidence already made public, he would probably suspect that the FBI and DOJ colluded with the Clinton Campaign and the Democratic Party to derail the Trump campaign train, and then engineer an “insurance policy” train wreck of his position in office. Also, in the process, to nullify any potential legal action against Clinton, including the matter of her email server, her actions with the DNC to subvert the Sanders primary campaign, the Steele dossier being used to activate a FISA warrant for surveillance of the Trump campaign, the arrant, long-running grift machine of the Clinton Foundation (in particular, the $150 million from Russian sources following the 2013 Uranium One deal, when she was Secretary of State), and the shady activities of Barack Obama’s inner circle around the post-election transition. There is obviously more there there than in the Resistance’s Russia folder.

I don’t even understand why Robert Mueller ever had credible standing to preside over this special investigation. He is, after all, the close friend and once-mentor of the figure who is very likely the fulcrum in any case against Trump: James Comey, the former FBI director fired by Trump — theoretically to obstruct justice, the keystone in the effort to find an impeachable offense.

I’m not comfortable acting as a supporter or defender of Trump, but I’m even less comfortable with the appearance of a rogue security and law enforcement apparatus gone blatantly political. The so far poorly-explained antics at the FBI and DOJ reflect badly on all vested authority in the country — and especially for any faction that pretends to be on the side of justice. This is a much larger problem than the public debate seems to recognize. We are not far from a point where nobody will be able to believe anything official in this land.

I remain convinced that this circus of scandal and counter-scandal will not necessarily be resolved by the legal machinery, at least not in any meaningful time frame that would allow the political establishment to pull its head out of its ass and actually start paying attention to the public interest. Rather, the circus tent will just blow down in the financial crisis that is spinning toward the US mainland like a superstorm. Mr. Trump now has full, gold-plated ownership of the parabolic stock market, a shuddering bond market, a wobbling currency, and an implacable debt quandary. These are conditions that can blow a society up for real.

Trump will show us what a real bankruptcy looks like and not the piddling little tripe he’s used to. Still waiting for those tax returns that will prove his purity.

Bread and circus’. That is all it is. Trump outed the corruption, immorality and greed behind the curtain in America. The world is seeing the US for what it is. A 3rd world country sliding into the trash bin of history.

hope and dreams seem to be the only evidence that a lot of people need to convince them that their opinions are in fact the only correct ones and they trump science and facts and they will defend their position until the bitter end.

K is laying out the Democrats. A Democrat criticizing Democrats has become unheard of. That’s the problem with the so-called Democrat party, the party’s unquestioned mockery of its own principles.

Hark back to the summer of sixty eight, Chicago, site of the Democratic presidential convention. Riots erupted in the streets. Major prosecutions followed. The famous riots of sixty eight were Democrats demonstrating against Democrats. That spirit no longer resides in the party to any significant extent. Kunstler makes a great contribution by stepping up.

You can’t pay attention to Hillary bawling like a baby and wait for the next Trump twitter. It’s insane, obscene. A waste of time.

In the beginning the Romans were given grain, later on it was bread. More efficient to bake somebody bread than to watch them make a mess and end up with no bread.

The millennials are the smartest humans on the planet, make the most money of any generation ever, so they can pay for it all too. Then they can become the poor schmucks wandering in the mist like everybody else, that is what happens.

Then they’ll be wondering what happened, just like everybody else does.

It is the blind leading the dumb.

(former?) leftist Kunstler beginning to have second thoughts about the 1968 social revolution. Note that Kunstler no longer can be bothered with “peak oil” or “suburbia”. It is the integrity of the entire country that is at stake.

Kunstler lately: “I’m no fan of Trump, but…”

Sorry mr Kunstler, your group lost the USSR between 1938-1953 after they initiated the 1917 revolution:

Now the same is going to happen to your last bastion USofA.

Old Kunt is becoming another low IQ far right winger! that is what happens when you get older because your IQ declines! That is why most older people swing to the right! And most young people are on the left! Kunts who idea that post collapse his small rural town will be rebuilt and we will all become farmers again is pure fantasy!

“K is laying out the Democrats. A Democrat criticizing Democrats has become unheard of. That’s the problem with the so-called Democrat party, the party’s unquestioned mockery of its own principles.”

Hope and change were lost with the Obama cave in. Obama’s grand inauguration of hope was a time to clean house after the failed Iraq adventure of the neocons and the reckless pursuit of affluence from everyone on Wall Street. What Obama and his Democrats did was totally corrupt the Nation and those revelations are coming out now. Trump is a product of this. There was never a hope with the Conservatives and their science denying market based sky daddy solutions. What we needed instead is science and wise choices that are built into the constitution. The constitution is an empty document now.

Obama talked the talk but he did not walk the walk. He was coopted and he coopted the deep state into a thoroughly corrupted organization that is the deep state today. Obama lied through his teeth with fancy politically correct corruption. All the stink is coming out and the Democrats and Deep state spilt it. Their fielding of the most corrupt candidate in modern America seal their fate. To be sure the conservative accomplices were in on it too. Many on both sides were benefiting from this ongoing corruption and spoil taking.

It is likely now the State of the Union has been crippled at a time we need more leadership than ever. The US is no longer the beacon of leadership. It really never was except maybe for a time after the Civil War. The 20th century had too much war and nation wrecking which were the result of European failures and the resulting cold war. Now we have a nation that is a source of danger and a global liability. The anti-Americans will salivate on what I just said except that there is nothing out in the world as an alternative. The world is complicit and an accomplice to this liability. The case is also that without the US cooperating in a multipolar world there will be no cooperativeness needed to manage the problems and predicaments ahead. China and Russia alone are no alternative. They are just blocking forces for American extremism with their own brand of extremism and deception. Europe is a sideshow.

Maybe we will have a purging that comes with a collapse of leadership in the US. Maybe someone will step in from outside the swamp to manage this total loss of confidence at all levels in the US government. It will have to come from the people. Is there enough people left that have not been brainwashed by expectations and false promises? It may come from the military if our government descends further into anarchy. All we need now is another economic crisis and real trouble without effective leadership and the military may be the next government. That is if WWIII does not coopt everything. The US military is likely pulling many strings now. It too is coopted and coopting the deep state in an unholy alliance. MIC is the golden egg. This next step will be different because there will be nothing hidden about it.

Go talk to a doctor! Enough with the long winded word salads! I think you have some mental issues! Nobody is ever going to read your post. You talk yourself right out of the deal when you do that! Keep it simple stupid!

I will go if you go and discuss your new avatar. What kind of person would call himself “I AM THE MOB”, lol. If that is your thinking then maybe “I AM A DUMBASS” is more fitting.

I have to laugh, the left used to hate the rich and they would have railroaded the Clintons right out of town and leeches, but the real power in the world is the gynocracy and a hypocritial one at that. The left simply could not accept that candidate Clintons record as a wife and senator and secretary of state made he a bad choice. The DNC and the RNC both want candidates they can control, with Trump they got a wildcard and they stood back when they let the DEMS and FBI work him over a bit, to make him soft enough to do THEIR bidding and it worked. Trump became a marshmallow who’s muslim ban was incorrectly applied, he backed a coup in Saudi Arabia and increasingly it looks like he is silent on the US push to war with Russia. Bernie Sanders might have been betrayed by the Dems and Clintons superpacs but he still is a Dem, that tells you everything you need to know about the system. Its not just the US its the same in every country. Democracy is in its hubristic stage.

    Davy,

Political mumbo jumbo that said nothing. Any political issue has to be put into context what did the Dem’s/Obams actually change and what would Mcain/Rep’s have done differently. The rise in renewables and demise in coal was an Obama win for example. You see Trumps stance. You happy with it?

    differently.

  14. Davy on Tue, 30th Jan 2018 12:10 pm

    “mumbo jumbo that said nothing”

I pretty much think the same about many of your comments so at least we are on the same page.

Go talk to a doctor! Enough with the long winded word salads! I think you have some mental issues! Nobody is ever going to read your post.

That was Davy’s sanest post in a long time. And I fully agree with his assessment. To add what Davy just said…

Trump is the American equivalent of Gorbachev. He is the undertaker of the US empire, without wanting to be one. Gorbachev didn’t want the demise of the USSR either, but instead wanted to reform it, to no avail. The system was broke.

Trump tries to reform the system by saving of what is left of it and by stemming the influx of third worlders that is killing America, like the USSR was killed by a non-functioning economic system.

It is too late. We see the rise of the alt-right that wants to secede from the union and create an ethno-state.

The downfall of the USSR enabled the Eastern European countries to join European mainstream. Although populism is very strong in Eastern Europe, nobody wants to leave the EU. Even Russia is impatiently waiting for the gate to be let in. And they will be let in. And the US alt-right secessionists will also be let in. It’s the best that can happen to them after the end of the empire in a rapidly darkening America.

Multicult is dead. Birds-of-a-feather-flock-together will be the next Big Thing, world wide.

Who gives a flying fuck about politics at this point! We are in a depression and are going to be running out of oil soon and it will cause the apocalypse ! In a few years we will all look back at these times and realize how wonderful things were when are biggest problems were bitching about politics to one another!

“Trump is America’s version of Gorby.”

The both of you have flown the coop, although as they say birds of a feather flock together.

    Not surprised by either.

Kunt is like a spurned lover….

After he was ostracized from the Democratic Party. He also hates colleges and universities since he no longer receives speaking invitations, and thus no longer has a free opportunity to peddle his books

  19. pennzoilbill on Thu, 1st Feb 2018 9:43 am

Oh guys and gals, I like Davy’s rants and cloggie agreeing, wow, I am the mob, more like I am a democratic, progressive. Birds of a feather will flock together but the American eagle will survive, as a darker but more self loving mutt, like our painted golden Jersey shore president. Italians especially Sicilians where very anti-black but that was self-loathing in the context of America anti-black racism, see Louisiana cajons for another group of self-loathing mullatos in America, but really want to be a bit more African, like their ancestors. The progressives hate American exceptionalism, the fact that you can become American by swearing allegiance (you know, standing for the flag and such) and the melting pot. Yeah, define American cuisine and you will see fusion cooking from before our national original, like baked macaroni, the mother of American cheese. America will become that becon of hope again but I agree with the golem, we have to help ourselves before we can successfully help others. America is more open than ever, but for those who want to be here (let me not get started on the benefits to good ‘ol church now that you don’t have mainstream society forcing you to go) and to those others, join us or go somewhere else. Come as you are, but leave changed, America.

penn i think sciliant hatered of blacks having to do with islam rule of scicily. muslims are taught they’re superior to everyone else and on top of that blacks are taught to be the devil or that they make good slaves.

even black doggies don’t fare too well. they’re to be exterminated with extreme prejudice because angel gabriel wouldn’t show up unless they’re gone.

Even now in libya the slave masters are dark enough but because of islamic faith they lord over and buy/sell black slaves because they feel they’re superior to them.

european slavery of blacks were taught by islam. islam has been enslaving everyone for a long time. the choice female slaves are non-muslim white women to be held in breeding confinements for the purpose of breeding the next ruler. this is where ((mm)) got all these ideas of breeding supertards’ daughters from

if the word harem sounds arabic, it is.

but if you feel inferior then you can convert to islam and be superior. this is why a lot of hate whiteys are from the nation of islam.

it’s very strange. anyways, anyone is entitled to their superiority but when they lift a finger to do something about it that’s when Luke 22:36 becomes a problem

  21. fmr-paultard on Thu, 1st Feb 2018 12:46 pm

when it comes down to it. supertards will abandon their daughters to mm to breed. this is because chinese and supertars are similar in pain avoidance. this is what supertard bastiat said. that we all avoid pain so we must usurp. there used to be a lot of intermarrying between royalties which is basicaly giving up daughters in order to avoid wars.

when supertards say they love their children they only love the boys. everything else is marketing. i observed this. i don’t score and i don’t hang around children because it’s a good way to be tagged a pedophile.

needless to say it confused me a great deal. i thought supertards treat every children the same.

anyways, i don’t have a solution. i only want women to kill their way to be treated teh same. it’s so easy to kill with modern weapons ….but we have supertards being against it. it’s very illogical but it is what it is.
