It’s only taken a week for President Trump to give the body politic an immigration enema. The aim, perhaps, was to flush out a set of bad ideas that Barack Obama had managed over eight years to instate as “normal.” Namely, that it’s unnecessary to enforce the immigration laws, or cruel and unusual to do so, or that national borders are a barbarous anachronism, or that federal laws are optional in certain self-selected jurisdictions.

But Trump’s staff sure fucked up the details carrying out his refugee and immigration ban, most particularly detaining people with green cards, and those already granted visas. The blunder provoked an impressive blowback of airport protests, and finally a stay from a federal judge, which muddied the legality of Trump’s executive order — all in all, a tactical stumble for Prez DT, who apparently omitted to consult with an array of government agencies and their lawyers before issuing the decree at close-of-business Friday. For the record, I’m down with the complaint that Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Egypt, and Afghanistan were left off the no-come list, since those lands produce more radical Islamic maniacs than anywhere else.

The reader by now probably detects my ambivalent feelings in this bundle of issues and grievances, so let me try to clarify my basic positions: I think borders matter and they need to be protected. I think our immigration law enforcement under Obama has been deeply dishonest and damaging to our politics in ways that go far beyond the question of who gets to come here. I believe we are under no obligation to take in everybody and anybody who wants to move here. I believe we need an official time out from the high-volume immigration of recent decades. I believe we have good reasons to be picky about who we let in.

The most dishonest and damaging trope of recent years is the widely-accepted idea on the Left that illegal immigrants are merely “undocumented” — as if they were the hapless victims of some clerical error made by the government and therefore deserving of a pass. Language matters. The acceptance and repetition of this lie has in effect given permission to the Left to lie whenever it suits their purposes about all kinds of things, for instance the delusion that Russia stole the election from Hillary Clinton and that Radical Islam doesn’t pose a threat to western values (or even exist). And it is certainly true that they are assisted by legacy media giants such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, and NPR. The Times, especially is keen to provoke a national crisis that might unseat Trump, by simply declaring it so in a three-column headline:

The furor seemed rather out of proportion to the people inconvenienced by Trump’s administrative blundering: about 300 green card holders out of 300,000 travelers admitted over the weekend — even after the White House walked back its green card miscue on Sunday. And it gives the impression even to someone who is allergic to conspiracy theory (yours truly) that some organizing principle is behind it. That principle may be the deep neurosis of the Dem/Prog Left reduced to virtue-signaling in their out-of-power echo chamber. Having no coherent ideas about the immigration issue besides resistance to it, they offer only sentimental narratives: tears on the statue of liberty, “dreamers,” sanctuary cities, nation-of-open-arms, we’re-all-children-of-immigrants, and anyway North America was stolen from the Indians. The hysteria is impressive, as if the Left has come down with ergot poisoning, seeing witches (racists, homophobes, misogynists, white privilege villains, and Russians) behind every juniper shrub in the land.

I’d go as far to say that this neurosis derives from the general psychological boundary problems of the current Dem/Prog ethos. Their zeal to erase categories has resulted in lost categories of thinking — it’s all one big soup of victimization out there now and everybody better rush to cash in their victim brownie points while they still can — or as long as Senator Chuck Schumer can keep the crocodile tears flowing. From my vantage, this country would actually benefit from having firmer categories of thinking and certainly firmer categories of behavior.

What really irks the Left is any defense of Western civilization, especially in something so concrete as demographics. This defensive impulse has been deeply suppressed in the recent political life of Europe and America. On the university campuses, it’s become the equivalent of original sin. Donald Trump turned out to be a peculiar choice to lead a turnaround from all this, and his oafishness may eventually deter an effort to restore something like a self-respecting common culture. But the turnaround is coming to Europe, too, this year in a set of national elections. Expect more civil strife as the battle is joined.

Ghung, we can do this all day long. You remind me of some others here with bad attitudes seeking to discredit the messenger when the message does not fit. You started this by calling me out by name many comment ago and you have not let up so reference my finger. When you can’t handle a discussion it is suddenly lies and falsehoods. Sounds like your party line. Binary thinking …another asshole on here “Survivalist” used that term two days ago. I guess that sounded good so you decided to use it.

Now let’s clarify “I voted” because you have indicated in the past you did not vote. If you would be clearer there would not be this problem. I guess you voted locally and or green. Don’t call me a liar when you are vague and deceptive. Like I said you started this and called me out.

Yea la la la on the truth because most of us here say the same shit few of us live by it. You apparently can’t stand alternative truths to your established ones so what is it Ghung. When the Truth works it’s your dedication and when it doesn’t fit you attack. This again sounds like your party line.

Yea, I was in the service and due to a serious fractured arm from riding a horse I was able to get a discharge. I had a dream to be in the Special Forces but with the type of fracture I was removed from any consideration for active duty. At the time I was in college and in the Missouri National Guard. I was able to get a medical discharge.

    The Left vs The Right.

Divide and conquer. A time tested and proven age old strategy.

The system must be collapsed in on itself, before the New system will be embraced. Civil unrest and economic uncertainty.

    Stay the course Donald!

Soros says that Trump will not last 60 days Democrats in Congress refuse to attend sessions to confirm or deny appointees, people appointed under the last Admin refuse to obey the current POTUS, whiney crying millenials (the majority of whom have no idea what is what) have to be offered mental health counseling at their Universities. Apparently vetting immigrants is unconstitutional however the bombing and murder in Potus approved wars is a wonderful thing. Has anyone ever heard the term SEDITION?

Maybe so. But what does the good mr Soros think will happen to America once Trump will be sabotaged for all to see and we have the internet to do the explaining for us?

Or more interestingly, what will happen to mr Soros and his ilk?

    Ouch!

Apparently there are many thoughts about what happens after “Trump” mostly BS based upon wishful thinking but Soros is hoping for another revolution like ukraine to make everything Demo again.

  6. Cloggie on Tue, 31st Jan 2017 7:21 pm

A “color revolution” is under way in the United States.

    http://thesaker.is/a-color-revolution-is-under-way-in-the-united-states/

A Russian joke goes like this: “Question: why can there be no color revolution in the United States? Answer: because there are not US Embassies in the United States.”

In the meantime, the Soros crowd has already chosen a color: pink… My purpose in listing all the examples above is to suggest the following: far from having accepted defeat, the Neocons and the US deep state have decided, as they always do, to double-down and they are now embarking on a full-scale “color revolution” which will only end with the impeachment, overthrowal or death of Donald Trump…. President Trump is in immense danger of being overthrown and his only hope for survival is to strike back hard and fast.

The other amazing thing is the ugly role Britain plays in this process: all the worst filth against Trump is always eventually traced back right to the UK.

(And the long arm of Britain reaches via British colonial resource Canada, the new Soros iFuehrer-Hauptkwartier, hi Friday!)

However, I am now beginning to think that this might not be enough. Trump has a much more powerful weapon he can unleash against the Neocon: 9/11. Whether Trump knew about it before or not, he is now advised by people like Flynn who must have known for years that 9/11 was in inside job… Let me put it this way: while 9/11 was a US “deep state” operation (probably subcontracted for execution to the Israelis), the entire Washington “swamp” has been since “9/11 accomplice after the fact” by helping to maintain the cover-up

Yeah, bingo. I have been saying that for months here.
News flash for theSaker: Trump knew, from the very first day.:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rt-ldMj9y9w

And, as Putin once said in an interview, “if you know that a fight is inevitable, then strike first!”.

Yep, that was what the Germans did too in Norway, Holland, France (1940) and Russia (1941), but I digress. In all cases they knew they were going to be attacked so they struck first.

Last but not least, my biggest hope is that Trump will use the same weapon Putin used against the Russian elites: the support of the people. But for that task, Twitter is simply not good enough.

Exactly. Hitler by the way did the same with his SA for the street battles with the communists. For propaganda reasons the American variant should perhaps get another name, like “bikers for Trump”.lol Couleur locale.

For the rest there is not a iota difference between Putin-2000 (“oligarchs”), Trump-2017 (“neocons”)… or Hitler-1925-1933:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QE6rZ7dOvFE
It is the struggle between a historic people (Russians, Americans and Germans), who want to protect their country and local identity against the communists, who want world government, with those who can’t be named at the helm, using the underclasses by setting them up against the responsible part of a nation.

But The Saker, who is Russian-Dutch (Russian mom) and identifies with Russia, will refuse to see these parallels because he wants to have his cake and eat it too. He likes to preserve the myths from WW2 (when Russia was itself a “neocon”-run country) fighting evil Natzis. In reality, up until November, Putin-Russia was in exactly the same role as Germany was in the run up to WW2.

Trump is only doing what he promised the voters who elected him he would do. Very refreshing. While I don’t like Trump at all, I definitely dislike him less than I dislike Hillary and I am glad he won. I think Trump will be a disaster for the USA, but Hillary would have been worse for the whole world, so I consider him the best option available.

I am in favor of stopping and even reversing immigration everywhere in the world. This is something I have changed my mind on since I used to be a strong believer in the free movement of people. I am also in favor of building the wall on the border. I think it is a great distraction for the USA and will keep them from causing even more damage abroad. The more time and money that the US government spends in trying to solve the USA’s domestic problems, however ineffectively, the less they will have to abuse, attack and destroy the rest of the world. I would ban all religious people if I could, too. Religion is for morons!

But anyone who thinks Trump can fix anything or make anything better doesn’t understand the nature of the predicaments we face. America was never great and it never will be no matter what deluded people thinks. America’s greatness has always been a delusion.

I am very impressed by how violent some people’s rejection of Trump is. I have to admit that I don’t understand what all the drama is about. All this complaining and protesting seems to be organized and financed by very powerful and rich people.

Trump makes me laugh almost every single day with his bat shit crazy behavior. I may subscribe to Twitter just to follow Trump’s feed. What will he do this week? For the first time in many years I find something happening in the world that interests me. As of today I still consider Trump a better US President than O, the Bushes, Clinton or Reagan. Will he end up being the worst of the lot? I don’t know if he could in my mind; I have a very, very, very, very low opinion of those motherfuckers. Time will tell! Seize the day, guys, things are bound to get worse 😉

clogit, what about “Lebensraum”. It was a typical imperial expansionist plan that was as brutal as the Assyrians. Fuck off with your apologetics for the Nazi scum.

“The German concept of Lebensraum (German pronunciation: [ˈleːbənsˌʁaʊm] ( listen), English: “living space”) refers to policies and practices of settler colonialism proliferated in Germany from the 1890s to the 1940s. The most extreme form of this ideology was supported by the Nazi Party (NSDAP) in the Third Reich until the end of World War II.[2] First popularized around 1901,[3] Lebensraum became a geopolitical goal of Imperial Germany in World War I (1914–1918) originally, as the core element of the Septemberprogramm of territorial expansion.”

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebensraum

They’re fucking LOSERS and so are you. A bitter loser over a war that started 77 years. You’re as bad as the Sons of Confederate Veterans with the non stop belly aching. No excuses. They tried to play the game and lost and since so many Germans bought into it they deserved the carpet bombing and destruction. And in the end their fearless leader took his life, took the cowards way and so did many others. Fucking LOSERS!

What makes me laugh even more is the white supremacists who try to emulate the nazi fucks and even use their symbolism. In addition to a complete lack of imagination, why would they adopt an ideology that was totally defeated? Why would you deify a drug addicted suicide coward like Hitler? All the nazi henchmen too who, when afforded the opportunity to show the entire world the courage of their conviction, almost to a man cried, “I was just following orders”. Fucking cowards; the lot of them.

Poor clog, spent 72 years so far trying to defend the indefensible. Hows that working for ya? A life time of sour grapes. There is no peace for a man without acceptance.

This one is for all the Cheeto disciples who claim “all” critizims of big daddy are just hysterica liberal media propaganda.

Great take on Trump and the US, Juan P. I agree on everything except the generalized anti-American part. There are few in every country that are of higher caliber. America has many good people and responsible for many significant alternative movements to the status quo precisely because there are so many opportunities with so much cultural malaise. Geopolitically the US has been a disaster but again so has the world. Europe should be lynched for their sins of opening the door to so many destructive behaviors. I see nothing but dumbass nations out there especially your South America. The Anglosphere is the worst being asshole hypocrites. The average American has been beaten down by decades of poor politics and industrial cultural espionage. Besides Russia I know of no nation much better. Russia is an exception in some ways but overall they are a brutal mafia culture with a drug and alcohol problem. Their leader is their shining light of brilliance combined with brutal honesty. He got their by being a thief and murderer. That sums up how bad the geopolitical environment is when the best is a thief and murder. Pretty much humans in such groups are a grotesque example of evolution. When I read about primitives especially Native Americans that had spoken cultures and connections to nature then I feel refreshed. Some of our kids may end up in these groups if they are lucky.

“Billionaire Republican donor Charles Koch likens Donald Trump’s Muslim ban to Adolf Hitler’s policies in Nazi Germany”
More Anglosphere and left liberal fake news and distortions. You always know when something is intellectually lazy charged politics when Hitler is mentioned. If this is a Muslim ban why are most Muslim nations not on it?

“Influential industrialist says travel restrictions ‘wrong approach’ for ‘free and open societies”
What, Free and open societies to gang rape, pillage and destroy the world. The hypocrisy is so deep you need muck boots. We have never been free and open societies. It is more like open your society to be freely pillaged and ruin. It is time for anyone with a brain and a community that is still relatively stable to wake up and smell the scent of death in the air. Most of you live in unsustainable and overpopulated places per a downturn in civilization. Do you want to make it worse or keep on living your fantasy that modern life is free, open and wholesome? What has been done since globalization matured is the destruction of the planet and the destruction of many cultures that were reasonably stable. What we have now is just a cancer of growth and cultural suicide and many of you want to protest over free and open. You are being played by the elites who want free and open to keep the blood sucking going on. I am preaching hospices and lifeboats get a grip you dumbasses.

Davy, LMFAO! HO-LEE-FUCK have you ever gone off the deep end.

“More Anglosphere and left liberal fake news and distortions.”

So you are denying the comments on behalf of Koch and the Koch cancer crew?

Either they made the comments or they did not.

    Which one is it Davy?

Did you even read the article? Oh right you don’t need to since anything and everything and anyone who criticizes Cheeto, in even the slightest manner, is automatically painted with your new wide brush….”More Anglosphere and left liberal fake news and distortions.”

Davy, the man who wrote 500 + collapse essays on this site, all pleading for “fair & balanced” views, is now a highly over sensitive Cheeto worshiper whose emotions get wounded at any and all criticisms of his cult leader.

Just like the most rabid of the Hitler cult; any cult for that matter.

“You always know when something is intellectually lazy charged politics when Hitler is mentioned.”

Is that from the bible or sumthing? I ask because I actually don’t “always know” that. I take each claim on it’s own instead of making up bullshit rules to enforce my pre decided beliefs .

The Koch comparison to the Nazi’s is legitimate in this instance, because he is comparing Nazi policy to Trump policy.

Davy’s new cognitive bias rules :

1- “You always know when something is intellectually lazy charged politics when Hitler is mentioned.”

2- “More Anglosphere and left liberal fake news and distortions.”

A couple of good things about creating these “one size fits all” rules in your head is they are a big time saver – no need to read the whole article before making up your mind or even go past the headline. Also, no need to think, since there is only black or white and your colour is white and 100% right on everything all the time and thus everything else is wrong. There’s your fucking fair and balanced eh?

Davy, do mommy and daddy know you have drank the alt right Cheeto koolaid?

I have nothing but respect for Ghung. Period. And not just his “act local” approach (I call it “well fed neighbors”).

These are hard times to make sense out of things. I’m still searching for news sources that I can trust. So much fake news. So many echo chambers.

Meantime, the seeds need sorting in prep for starting seedlings. Dug out my old ham radio and renewed my license. Joined local ARES and RACES. And now and again watching this website (but, geez, more heat than light).

Another story about the big Cheeto.

Real-life psychopaths actually have below-average intelligence

“Manipulative, dishonest and lacking in empathy – the traits that describe a psychopath aren’t particularly pleasant. But the idea that they are also fiendishly clever – as often portrayed in films and TV – isn’t quite true. In fact, in general, psychopaths seem to have below-average intelligence.”

When you get a response like this you hit the jackpot of meaning and effect. “Davy, LMFAO! HO-LEE-FUCK have you ever gone off the deep end.” Go wipe your nose off Ape, you are sniffling as your DELLUSIONAL framing of the world dissolves before your eyes! YEA*

Wow. Has someone re designated this site Breitbart.com?

You apparently missed that the US is a different country now, which some posters actually like and others don’t. Such is the reality of politics in a democracy. It would be strange if changes in society would not be reflected in discussion forums. Your shaming attempts no longer work. We’re beyond political correctness and your rearguard fights no longer matter.

And if you are so anti-Breitbart, why don’t you go back to your rainy island and drag in a few million Muslims more, to ensure that their victory will be final. London is not enough. You have my blessing. English are so 19th century; Muslims in contrast, they represent the future (for Britain).
