Beware of The Agenda Behind “Population Control”

Public Policy

Population control –family planning, mother and child healthcare, reproductive health– is back in the news with enhanced momentum.

A few years ago some leaders who were encouraging their citizens to produce more children because the optimal size for economic development hadn’t been reached have abruptly changed their minds.

In support of population growth, they argued that Europe and North America developed fastest when the population was growing fastest. They reasoned that birth control for the Developing World advocated by the Industrialized World was designed to create conditions for the re-colonization and continued exploitation of countries in the South.

The rapid population growth in the now developed countries provided adequate labor for industries and markets for finished products which the developing countries also need.

They emphasized that ipso facto developing countries need more economically active population to drive national economies to take- off and into sustained growth and sustainable development.

As noted above some of these leaders and their advisers in the South have abruptly changed their minds and are now saying that national economies are crashing under the heavy weight of population size and growth rate.

Birth control using any methods appropriate is being advocated vigorously principally targeting the poor who out of economic and old age necessity produce many children taking into account high mortality rates.

The negotiations for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which culminated in the historic agreement at the U.N., became extremely contentious within and among negotiating groups when it came to population control. The negotiations reintroduced the element of population numbers that had been resolved and dropped from future debates and policy formulation at the Cairo Conference in 1994.

Some negotiators argued in formal and informal settings that if economic development could take place rapidly when population growth was exploding in the countries now developed and industrialized, why can’t that happen in countries of the South especially in Sub-Saharan Africa that has become the target for massive birth control?

What should be kept in mind as the debate on birth control progresses is this:

Historically, the champions of birth control including Thomas Robert Malthus, Francis Galton and Margaret Sanger had two principal concerns.

1. To control population growth so that it doesn’t exceed the supply of food. If population growth exceeded food production there would be war over limited supplies, famine would occur among those unable to access food and people would die from diseases related thereto.

2. To promote growth of high quality population, birth control should be applied to weed out genetically inferior populations.

If Malthus, the argument goes, had his way he probably would have stopped poor people from having children. He worked hard to abolish the poor law that subsidized food for poor people according to family size but he failed. His idea was considered too uncaring.

Francis Galton in his science of eugenics advocated selective breeding in favor of the rich that had the quality to improve the human race. He “railed against birth control among the middle classes since this would deprive Britain of its finest children and allow the national stock to be diluted by the fertile lower classes”(Richard J. Evans 1994).

The potential danger is that much of writing and speaking about population is increasingly being dominated by propagandists in favor of massive birth control who have strong financial and political backing. Those that think population matters should form an integral part of the development process and not treated as a prerequisite for development are being sidelined by the very people who advocate that no one should be left behind in any activity of human endeavor. This is a clear case of double standards.

The big question is who is genetically inferior and should be weeded out of the human race?

Think about that and act appropriately so that the new wave of birth control with a primary focus on Sub-Saharan Africa is done within the agreed-upon framework.

Countries that rushed into massive birth control in other parts of the world are now reversing course because they are at a serious disadvantage in the absence of a young population.

Let us not repeat the same mistake.

Cashnboozin is an economist, therefore he is completely divorced from the machinations of the natural world. And birth control should not be administered to reduce so called inferior specimens amongst us; it is for reducing the total number of humans that have overshot carrying capacity 6 fold. Demographics can be argued from an economic perspective but not when approaching LTG. Sometimes I think the inability to debate overpopulation rationally is not just from religious delusions but from a persons inate belief that we are too important and necessary to be limited in any way.

The do-nothing approach to population reduction and control is a solution in itself. It is going to happen and is only a matter of how.

Oil began running out the moment mankind started to burn it, and it is the countries that have the least access to oil, who’s populations are growing the fastest.

Hell, if birth control mattered anymore but it doesn’t really. We are already trapped with too many people. It is now a matter of preparing hospices and lifeboats. Places that have their shit more together, better have a serious wall ready physical and social. Population will hit a brick wall of planetary limits soon and no amount of birth control will matter. Real population reductions that is necessary will require 100MIL-200MIL deaths a year over births. This will need to go on for a generation or two. That is an average also. Some years could be worse. This will get us back to around the 1BIL-2BIL carrying capacity the planet can handle. This is serious business and something that again people really can’t talk about because it is too severe. So what will happen is Band-Aids that really are not enough until one day this process begins by the force of nature. To be honest I am not sure society can survive such systematic trauma. Maybe we have a decade or two before this is the status quo.

I have a plan that will help you to do your part exceptionalist. I suggest the world follow your county’s example and formally recognize man-goat marriages and civic unions as legal. If everyone were to follow your example, I predict within a generation or two, the dumbass population would drop to far more manageable levels.

I know you are trying to do your part already, twice a day in fact, but you should lead by example. Offer to do tours of local schools, police stations, prisons and so on. Show how your pioneering work in the field of man-goat relations, not only reduces overpopulation, but crime, pollution and wealth-disparity as inequality as well.

@MM: Wether it is a fast or slow decline there is a chance to survive.

What is the point of telling Greg and others that they will die and their loved ones abused? They know that is a possibility – It is even a possibility that it may happen in a few moments to any of us.

But they do the sensible thing and try to improve their odds. I really cant see anything wrong with that. Why are you so angry at others for trying to the best of their ability to improve their personal odds and of those in their immediate surroundings? It does not make sense.

I also try to improve my odds. I am not very good at it yet, but as long as it coincides with my person wellbeing and adds to my life quality I cannot see why you would belittle it. My wife is also into growing food and producing energy. And why shouldnt we? Even if nothing ever happen – we know the origin of our food and its content. Unlike when you buy at the supermarket and things are coming from China, Vietnam or other dubious places.

GregT has similarly relocated and prepared, but it adds to his life quality. He is not sitting in a cellar on a pile of weapons, being paranoid and making his a life a nightmare and the same probably goes for his wife.

I find your plan perfectly okay – I totally appreciate that you will shoot yourself at first convenient time. Now you should accept that others has different plans and may not to the same extent appreciate losing their head.

They are not at a disadvantage. They are feeling the natural effects from adjusting away from a path of overshoot and disaster in a controlled way.

It is not a mistake to have birth control – it is a necessity to prevent a greater evil at a later time.

I have a better way of offing oneself and ones loved ones. Have an abundant amount of sleeping pills and let them all take many. Then once sleepy or sleeping, suffocate them. So you will be the only one left. Then take many pills yourself then when very sleepy jump into deep water. Presto all dead! And not very traumatic

Many of the papers that you continue to link to ad nauseam, show at least 4 billion humans on this planet by 2100. Personally, I find your links to be far too optimistic, but that is an entirely different subject.

In any event, my plan is to make sure that my children (older and far more intelligent than you could ever dream of being), their children, and their children’s children, are among those 4 billion survivors.

You stick to your plan, and I’ll stick with mine. Good luck.

  26. peakyeast on Fri, 9th Feb 2018 9:10 pm

@MM: Now we are getting philosophical :-D..

What is the meaning of life?

My personal conclusion is: Have as good a time as possible. It is only the time you are alive that counts. Earlier in my life I would have included making sacrifices to prevent overshoot and eco-habitat destruction, but the world has reached a point now where that reasoning is invalid IMO – and the only thing that makes sense is to appreciate living at the pinnacle of human “civilisation” and enjoy the experience.

You cant conclude that GregT is wasting time and money without also knowing what their view of a viable happy life is. If they were miserable and unhappy I would agree with you, but I think the testimonies seen here on PO shows something else. So they aren’t wasting – they are living a life of their choice and it gives them purpose and happiness. Which is the only real meaning of life.

Odds are in the favor of a long life for those who take care of their bodies and avoid drugs, alcohol, smoking and obesity. If they are also intelligent about their life choices, odds are in their favor for a long, happy, healthy life, even after the crash.

Odds are also in the favor of preppers surviving over the ones who think it is a lost cause. I’ll try to improve the odds for as long as I live. I’m not afraid of a good challenge and making life and death decisions. We do it everyday that we get into a car. The only reason we are not on a washingdum hit list greg, is easy to understand. No one in this country, is openly discussing restoring Canada’s sovereignty, its independence, or that other unmentionable, nationalizing our resources.

Try to imagine, how quickly it would be regime-change time, northern edition, if anyone in these parts openly advocated even one of those three things.

The exceptionalist, err, ‘mushmind’, being the dumbass he is, has swallowed his spoon-fed MSM Syrian narratives whole. Look at Korea, the uS is having a fit over such matters as the North and South fielding joint Olympic teams. Displays of independence like this, even symbolic ones, is enough to send the uS (and Canadian) I might add, media and ‘our’ elites into fits. When it comes to relations between the uS and its puppets, the puppets are expected to do one thing, obey, full stop. And not just obey, but embrace that servitude as well. Service and obedience to the amerio-israeli empire is something ‘our’ elites, have embrace at a level much deeper than thought.

the exceptionalist feels threatened by Syria, not because of its current sorry state, but because he knows his corrupt, vile amerikan empire is losing over the battle there, despite the immense damage they have, and will continue to do.

Yes, rotten to the core. All of them.

The media, I hope if hell exists, that a special level is reserved just for them, and our boot-licking ‘elites’. With their love of all things israel, NAFTA, NATO, NORAD, TPP and endless war, it is no surprise we find ourselves in the state we are in.

I got to watch the boy-wonder the other day bragging about how he has been kissing that nice jewish fellows, Jeff Bezos, ass in an effort to get him to ‘invest’ more in Canada. True-dough couldn’t stop talking about his heroic efforts to get those rats to ‘invest’ more here. Waxed poetic for over an hour about the pressing need to get more amerikan control over the country. Because if there one thing we need, its more of that-truely.
While what he said, was bad enough, what True-dough didnt say, or never will, was just as revealing.

At no point, did he ever suggest, or even hint at, any kind of public investments, co-ops, or any kind of national programs to invest in the country. It was all about rolling out the red carpet (again), for the globalist ‘investor’ (read uS) class. Not only has the entire notion of national development, free of uS interference and control been ruled out here, it simply never comes up, even as a remote possibility. I can only imagine the kind of stupefied, puzzled look true-dough would give one, if he were asked if he knew of alternative models to uS ‘investment’.

But, that’s life in the amerikan empire, Northern Sector, eh?
