China has almost 1 million people in Africa, and this UK article tells us that the West should be very worried.
What pathetic thinking. It's always about the control, the domination, and the resources.
It's the thinking that has created the mess in which we find ourselves.
"Oh Lordy, look, the Chinese are going to rape Africa before we do! We should be very worried!"

| Don't think of the Chinese as benevolent benefactors. It is simply that they are willing to turn a blind eye to things like abuse of human rights and environmental destruction in order to get what they want. |

| Seems to me a lot of the back and forth is over the fact that some nations go for the resources plain and simple but peacefully, some just grab the damn things, and many of the western countries prepare a fantastic cover story of saving souls and introducing political and social systems while they are grabbing the resources. |

Lets not forget that Africa has also been supported by so many American and European church missions over the years to bring the word of God to the people and education and food for survival. Will China do that? I don't think so. |
