EB and others:
If you look at the 2nd picture at the Roundup homepage, you will see the entry gates in the foreground and two orangish sidewalks leading into the Marktplatz. You should also see a yellow tent/green stand in the background on the lhs. From this viewpoint as a reference, the beer and wine tent has usually been set up on the left hand side just past where that yellow tent/green stand is located. There are some picnic tables adjacent to the beer and wine tent, and that's where we can rendesvous.
Ludi and I thought that 12 noon on Saturday might work since she wants to check out the "Water and Cedar" talk in the White Arena at 10:00am, and I want to attend the "Small Wind Turbines" talk in the Green Arena at 11:00am and also the keynote speech at 1:00pm. If noon is not good for y'all, suggest another time. Perhaps at the end of the event at the exit gate?
While I'm stuffing my face with a bratwurst sandwich for lunch, I will stick one of those name tags on my shirt reading: James (aka PeakOiler) during that hour. I may also make a little sign with "PeakOil.com" written on a sheet of paper and place it on the picnic table.
If anyone wants to coordinate this meeting further, please send me an e-mail: PeakOiler@aol.com
Edit: If you see long lines at the food stands, then perhaps 12:15-12:30 might be better. I haven't decided yet if I will take and set up the SunOven nearby the beer and wine tent picnic tables... _________________ About my avatar: Guess.

Tip: Buy your food and drink tickets from one of the Roundup volunteers when you first arrive instead of waiting till the noon lunchhour. That way you don't have to stand in two lines, and you can make it to the picnic tables sooner... _________________ About my avatar: Guess.

How long does it take to drive from south Austin to the Roundup? Anyone maybe want to carpool?
I really don't know if I can make it (maybe 25% chance), but I'll try.
S. Austin to the Roundup, about 1-1.5 hours.
I would be willing to carpool with you, I live in N. Austin and have to run through the south side in order to get to Fredericksburg.
PM me if you're interested. _________________ "It's called the American Dream because you'd have to be asleep to believe it."
I'll be driving my Honda Insight from near Burnet to Fredericksburg, but I'm attending all three days, leaving Friday morning.
Edit: Party at James' motel room after the event? /joke
Seriously, there are a lot of good German food restaurants in Fredericksburg we could go to after the Roundup.
Places to Eat
Readers should check Fredericksburg History to read an interesting bit on the German settlers in Central Texas. Seems it was very tough for them, especially regarding food. _________________ About my avatar: Guess.

Hi all.
I printed my sticky name tag yesterday. It reads:
"James
Aka Peakoiler"
I will have it on my shirt only during the lunch hour while I'm sitting at the beer & wine tent picnic tables. I printed "peakoil.com" on a piece of paper, and holding that piece of paper down from the breezes as a paperweight will be one of my homegrown limes. When y'all show up, we'll cut the lime up for our drinking water. A cool token of fellowship if you will...
See y'all between 12:00 and 1:00 on Sat.
Will Aaron hold the Peakoil.com fort down while Shanny goes to Fredericksburg? _________________ About my avatar: Guess.
