Forests are more important than humans. In the hierarchy of codepences civilizations that destroy forests, the soil, the Earth - and native peoples living in balance with nature - are suicidal, insane.
Given that, what kind of help would you like to ask from shamans, if you had chance?

We have to fight some Kobbolds and Goblins later. Do the shamans have any spells that would be useful? _________________ Massive Human Dieoff must occur as a result of Peak Oil. Many more than half will die. It will occur everywhere, including where you live. If you fail to recognize this, then your odds of living move toward the "going to die" group.

Sure, try this spell: smash your gaming concole and take the pieces to the nearest recycling center. Don't have to worry about Kobbolds and Goblins no more.

MrBean
If forests are more important than humans, lets take your logic further, do you have any shamen friends who could get rid of you? You are willing to sacrifice yourself for the good of the forests, right? Or in classical treehugging manner, do you want others to sacrifice, but not yourself since you are "enlightened"?

Seems to me humans and forests are of equal importance, as both sorts of life are here on the planet together.
Humans are generally more important to humans, but since humans very probably depend on forests for survival as a species, perhaps more humans should value forests equally with humans.

This thread should be renamed "Ask a Shaman", sort of like PrairieMule's "Ask a Nigerian."

Shaman,
Are all trees equally good, or are some trees bad?
Is a bad tree still more important than a good person?
If a person wanted to escape his miserable existence as a human, is there any way he could be reincarnated as a tree?
I went to Disney World and saw the Pocahontas show, which has two talking trees. Do real trees consider this offensive? All of the things the two talking trees said were very pro-tree. _________________

Are there actually any Shamans posting in this thread?
One of my friends was trained as a shaman by a shaman. My friend is an atheist. He had a mystical experience of the non-existence of God on one of his shamanic journeys. _________________ "...powerdown so soft and fluffy you'll think you're living in a pillow..." - jboogy

How can I get nature to spawn a virus that rapidly deletes the entire population of India, China, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam, Burma, Thailand, Indonesia, Brazil, Haiti, Venezuela, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Columbia, El Salvador, Nigeria, Chad, Egypt, Niger, Sudan, the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Yemen, and Nicaragua but has no effect on other populations?

Humans are of equal importance than trees, unless humans don't live in harmony with nature. Everything that will ultimately lead to mass extinctions, like our technological civilization, must and will not last much time.
...it's actually quite clear. Like Taoist's life style that values harmony of humans with nature, and finally of everything, is a correct understanding. _________________ anagami.net
