For a minute there I thought I had to get off my couch, when all the while the fact is we don't have to do anything much but keep things afloat for just a few decades more! In fact, we'd best shut up about PO, because if our offspring finds out we knew about it all along, they'll turn and wring our necks come 2036!

"66-millimeter anti-tank rocket launcher."

The world is definitely safer now. Can’t have some old guy running around with an inoperable bazooka. Jeez, he might frighten someone.

So they nabbed some old duffer's gun collection... most of which I bet were vintage and probably could not be fired or had less than 50 rounds for each that did.

Yep, I'll sleep better tonight knowing nobody will be able club me to death with an inoperable rocket launcher.

Aren't you supposed to sprinkle vinegar or ammonia around something you don't want the dogs to find?
Or, is that just sci-fi?

What BS. So this is Australia, I could see this happening in the
US though. Might as well call any empty pipe a potentially inoperable
rocket launcher. Rolling Eyes

A few years ago I saw an inoperable rocket launchers at a gun show.
I'm sure if you fired one in the military, the empty tube would be pretty
nice to have on ones mantel. You could tell people "This is what I did,
I fired farking rockets!" A man could have a lot of pride in that...

I suspect it would be a source of pride for anyone who blew up practice targets. Never met anyone worth knowing, who was in the thick of it for more than 10 minutes, have much pride in mounting a war memento.

I don't know about vinegar but I think welded steel and other thick
impermeable barriers would escape a dogs nose. I've heard this is
why the post office will sometimes open cans or break bricks sent
though the mail. And though coffee is often used to hide the scent of
some drugs, it also raises suspicion of drugs being there. So I would
think vinegar would increase suspicion. So yeah, vinegar is more of a
movie thing. And try to imagine spreading vinegar all over your house,
all the time. Yuck! Laughing

Maybe, though I don't know if there's anything wrong with that...

Reminds me of an old guy I met who preferred to keep his war mementos hidden.
Just some cool stuff from a palace, not a bazooka. It's funny the things
people decide to hold onto...

Speaking of funny/wrong, if war mementos were legal... Laughing
