How then, do we move backwards? How does a society, with most of the people having no clue of future events, move from being dependent on a vast and intertwined network of goods and services produced by the indigenous people of whereever, to a local resource and renewable energy based society, and do so in the timeframe available (20-30 years using the most liberal extimates, 10-20 with resonable estimates, 5-10 with worst case scenarios), all the while prices on everything increasing, world politics getting more militaristic, governments continuously reducing civil liberties, shortages of goods on the market and weather patterns resembling bad Hollywood movies?

This has cropped up on two threads that I've noticed. An extra page is tacked onto a thread prematurely and you get the message "no posts exist for this topic" when you click on that page. I wonder if this is what stopped Kevo's attempt to revive the random word association thread? You can still post by going to the penultimate page (heh heh) that means the second to the last page. The American Military thread also has a ghost page 4.

I think the extra page isn't tacked on prematurely, rather what happens is posts are deleted which shortens the page count. Not sure of how to fix it; it's probably something that has to be sorted out in the SQL or PHP or whatever. I usually just go back to the previous page; the posts are all there and it's just a minor annoyance.
BTW I'm going to move this thread to tech support. _________________ "Every junkie's like a setting sun..." - Neil Young
