Matt Simmons predicts the next financial meltdown will make what is happening now seem insignificant.....the current economic mess was triggered by peak oil and high oil prices....what is coming will be worse---and will involve massive energy shortages and food shortages.

I have no illusions about things to come. And this experience was only 9 days, and the supermarkets were stocked with non-perishables, and more food, water, ice, etc. was being trucked in daily. I don't anticipate the coming collapse to have such luxuries. All you can do is hope for the best, prepare for the worst, and accept what happens though, and if nothing else, community will emerge once again as people realize they need to depend on others to survive. _________________ Growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of the cancer cell.
