Now that the first of the Peak Oil dates has passed, it has disappeared from the Event Countdown window.

Would it be possible, and not too much trouble, to include it? Only now, it would be counting up, like Peak Oil +3.

Yes, I just assumed that would happen with the list also, and it would be cool if it was done that way. Like the "Deffeyes Estimate: 3 Days Past Peak" or something similar.

How about this:

Deffeyes' Peak Oil Date
was 3 days ago.

Reversing the red will make it stand out more too.

I'd also like to have one that says

Regular Oil Peaked
in 2004 (ASPO).

Yes, I was thinking the same.

I doubt whether it was the motivation but if they disappear one by one it's a bit of a cop out: like they go down the memory hole.

"What prediction was that? Oh, I'd forgotten about that one."

Totally agree. Besides, for those of us who think we may already be past peak, it's a bit disappointing that peak oil continues to be presented as something that everybody agrees will happen in the future.

Shouldn't the APSO countdown be at 1460? Their latest prediction is for peak oil in 2010.
