It would be called the "Project section"
Essentially, the project section would group into teams, who would focus on researching and designing means of food/energy/resource production post peak, the best places to live post peak, where they can find good information on the internet about post peak survival techniques, and other stuff that requires a co-ordinated effort to acquire and assemble a large amount of information to provide something that would take care of needs post peak.
I was thinking this might be needed, for the design of a cellulose converter, a device that converts cellulose directly into sugar, which can then be eaten(primary purpose), or used as a fuel. This would allow all non-toxic foliage to be turned into food, and used to sustain the person's families even if there was no food. As long as there was water, energy, and non-toxic foliage, the person would have a supply of calories for himself/herself and others.
The design once made could be provided to all members to increase their survival probability. This technology, if distributed to the third world, would also ease their suffering.

See our Planning for the Future Forum. Covers all of that in spades. _________________ A Saudi saying, "My father rode a camel. I drive a car. My son flies a jet-plane. His son will ride a camel."

if it were that easy trees would melt like sugar. But to increase their suvivability trees have evolved a molecular structure very resistant to mechanical, chemical, and biologic forces. That is why they can stand in the cold, heat, water, and dryness for 1,000 years. _________________ ree rah rip ram. sunofabitch godamn. hidey didey christ almighty. rah rah crap
