For a minute there I thought I had to get off my couch, when all the while the fact is we don't have to do anything much but keep things afloat for just a few decades more! In fact, we'd best shut up about PO, because if our offspring finds out we knew about it all along, they'll turn and wring our necks come 2036!

I would like to request one additional forum for the PO set, Alternative Energy Supplies.
This forum would be for the fission, wind, solar and coal threads, plus act as a catch all for Ammonia, Hydrogen, Fusion, Zero Point Energy, Thermal Conversion Process, Shale Kerogen liquification, Tar Sands and any other energy carrier or resource.
By grouping Alternative Energy Supply into a seperate forum it should help make sense of all the alternative energy threads instead of finding repetitions of Nuclear, Wind and Coal on many fora and the others scatterted seemingly at random.

Theoretically nothing, except for the fact that the thread topics I named are not concentrated there. If the moderators want to manually move threads to Tech as the alternate energy supply alternative that is fine by me, whatever is most convenient for you leaders
It just seems to me that a dedicated forum would make it easier to find the threads I am most interested in, but if they are all in one forum it would accomplish the same thing and I would find that very handy. As it is now I scan 80% of the forums looking for topics that interest me, but I only end up reading about 10%, maybe 5% of all the threads created or continued each day. _________________ Oxygen: - An intensely habit-forming accumulative toxic substance. Tanada, I use the Since Last Visit feature to quickly move between forums. I find it much easier to browse quickly that way.
Also, if there is a thread that you think should be in the Tech forum, let me know and I will move it there.
Hope this helps. _________________ "If you are a real seeker after truth, it's necessary that at least once in your life you doubt all things as far as possible"-Rene Descartes

Thanks! The only thread I am currently posting too that falls in this catagory is http://www.peakoil.com/fortopic13277.html
which is in the open discussion forum. I will give you a heads up if I stumble accross others in my wandering of the site
EDIT
Scanning the last 24 hour catagory as you suggested I also found this thread http://www.peakoil.com/fortopic6745.html which I think belonds in Tech because it is about Tar Sands, but you may think it belongs in Peak Discussion where it now sits. Am I being too picky? Maybe, I spent all day doing the first pass at winterizing my house and am fairly frazzled. _________________ Oxygen: - An intensely habit-forming accumulative toxic substance.
