Methinks the site could do with providing a comprehensive table of conversion factors, from blue barrels to horsepower to inches of mercury.
Global site - global translation of numbers at least ?
Is there a mathematician on this plane ?
(Specially one who doesn't see Napoleon's Vanity as being superior to more subtle measures ?)

There is actually a tool for this function:
http://www.onlineconversion.com/
even though I rely on the PalmOS utility "convert" for most of the conversions _________________ "Nuclear power has long been to the Left what embryonic-stem-cell research is to the Right--irredeemably wrong and a signifier of moral weakness."Esquire Magazine,12/05

Which would a/. use least bandwidth and b/. be simplest and quickest for the user - bringing the tool in house or just providing that address somewhere ?
Mind you, does it include Rod, Pole & Perch ? Or is it one of these new-fangled standardized affairs ?

A new standardized affair. This is why I sue convert on my palm (which is customizable). But my impression was that that site offered a shareware download. In any case ... I have to agree with the original premise. A convert utility is badly needed _________________ "Nuclear power has long been to the Left what embryonic-stem-cell research is to the Right--irredeemably wrong and a signifier of moral weakness."Esquire Magazine,12/05

Yeah, but...
I've yet to find a conversion site that'll tell calculate what cubic-metres of hydrogen (at 1 bar) equate to in gallons of gasoline...?
