Natural gas prices soar

Quote:
Traders said the unexpected shot of cool air this week served as a reminder about the possibility of tight supplies this winter, noting the heating season will kick off with lower inventories than last year and reduced supplies after two hurricanes damaged Gulf Coast pipelines, platforms and processing plants.

Do they actually need cold weather to remind them that it gets cold in winter?

Leanan it really makes one wonder.

I think the wide spread between gas and diesel is telling.

The political decision was made to keep gas cheap so people would not freak out but the cost is they will have to pay more for everything else.

I think TPTB have been trying to dance on a razor blade and are about to trip time will tell.

A couple of big cold snaps in the northeast and the hue and cry will go out for more diesel and heating oil.

Oil may be on the rebound again. It's at almost $62. Gas is up 5 cents. What's going on? Is there some news we don't know driving it up? the cold winter coming? Some report or something?

Have the IEA loans run out?

read this if you don't know what that meant
