If you put a gas gage on the cover with the needle on E it would look more realistic.

The democrats are the party of no ideas; the Republicans are the party of bad ideas.

I have a friend ,who believes in the markets and technolgy.I have sent him regular e-mails for about 6 months now, almost daily. All the e-mails are tied to peak oil.I have even copied and pasted a few post from this site and sent to him.He briefly checks them out usually a week after I have sent them.
Anyhow to make the story short, peak oil is kind of a joke to him.
What is funny is that he sent a card over the holidays and signed it ,
"Merry christmas ,Peak Oil for life!!!"
I thought it was a funny and thought I would share it.
Peak oil for life you guys!

The thread about the wife who is addicted to spending money had some stuff about Diogenes. A philosopher with a sense of humor. Comedy is a Greek word and a Greek idea. Do Middle Eastern Allah worshippers have a sense of humor? When things are good people will seek out the funny and laugh because it makes them happy for awhile. No connection to absolutes or eternity, just laughs for the moment. Is the Western sense of humor decaying? I saw Wedding Crashers the other day and found it very unfunny. Something About Mary seems to have started a trend to sadistic humor. That one, though, at least was funny. Wedding Crashers was just morbid. I don't know, maybe it got funny at the end; I turned it off.

I think western humor reached its peak in the early eighties with people like John Belushi and Steve Martin.

Steve Martin did a routine on Saturday Night Live around Christmas once that was priceless: he was seated by a crackling fire offering good wishes for the children of the world and began to digress about a romp with Cindi Crawford and a very, very long slow perfect orgasm.
