Grrrr missed my chance last week... I will dress up as a Peak Oil priest next year... since a lot of people in denial of hydrocarbon depletion view it as a "Cult"... Any ideas?
Awesome! You just nailed my costume for next year.

Lots of good ideas - have a chain of mini-55 gallon drums hanging from your body. Dress as a ghost - the ghost of an Oil Age Past. Have images/pictures of hummers, fat people, fat people in hummers, giant plastic yard toys, shrink wrapped food, and so on hanging from a sickle like the grim reaper. Have a gas hose hanging from your pants, just to be crude. Put the words "Tar Sands" across your ass.

And, of course, have the oil production bell curve on your forehead.

Sweet.

Fawks was a catholic extreamist hell bent on restoring a more authoritarian religous monarchy to England.

V the graphic novel though was much more interesting, a real anarchist. There is something for both left and right in it.

The movie is ok mind and the speach deMolay has posted is pretty cool.

As a Canadian I always saw it as more of an anarchists day. You know burn down the school etc. Kind of a warning to the establishment and a fun night.

A government in fear of its people is always a good thing.

Remember when wars ended? Remember peace? Rather than celebrating the end of war, today we celebrate warfighters.
