I think this is the beginnings of an economy based on perpetual growth and fossil fuel energy running headlong into geological energy constraints. Basically I see an undulatory downward path for the rest of my life. From here out, I think any rallies in our economic condition are going to be met with spiking commodity prices that knock us right back down.

I will need further clarification before I can code this up into either a question or a talking-point. _________________ --------------------------------

I bought a Vermont Casting Defiant wood stove and had it installed 6 weeks ago. When the stove was fired up, the air control could not regulate the air into the combustion chamber. As the stove heated I shut the air off and the flames went to the top of the chamber and the stove continued to heat up. I had to use the catalytic converter to cool the stove prior to overheating. This happened each time I used the stove.
The local store where I purchased the stove finally gave me a phone number of the distributor (they did give me the number of Vermont Castings but the rep tried once then never contacted again).
Finally, a company rep from the distributor company (the local company from which I bought the stove did not help) came and verified the ash pan was not sealed and more than likely the doors too. Although he has been trying to get a technician to come to work on the stove, nothing has happened.
Maybe this is not the correct message board for this type of problem analysis, but I need some advise as to give Vermont Castings an ultimatum to fix the stove properly or remove it their expense and refund my money for the stove.
