You are absolutely right Eastern Europe is the land of transit. It will not close down. The sooner it is brought into the EU the better it is for Europe. Turkey too, I know this might not be popular but it is true. As far as Iran The only way EU (i.e. Euro losses) is if US can set up a puppet regime there without any blood being spilled. And this puppet gives up the bourse. Chances of this are low. I will post some more euro articles. Big things are happening my friends you just have to make sure you don’t miss them.

Stu,
I want to thank you for all your news articles. I visit this web to learn facts, assess the situation, and I find your daily posts more helpful than just about anything else. So, thanks, and I'm sure many feel the same way. I don't want to clog this forum with thank you, thoughs.
Your latest post coming about the centrifuges is very worrisome. Again, I think the U.S. is garnering its evidence to get the EU to back recommending Iran go to the security council. Every day that goes on only buttresses Hirsch's article that America wants the EU diplomacy to fail to get the EUs support for action against Iran. The talks between Iran and the EU don't seem to be going anywhere, not publicly anyway, with the red line being Iran's position that it will never agree to stop enrichment. I'm not saying they're wrong, but their red line that they won't stop seems to be at odds with the US and EU position that they must.

Spear,
I agree we can't know what Pakistan said is credible. But, what I think it shows is the building of pressure through good or bad intelligence to a controntation with Iran. I agree the intelligence is suspect, since Pakistan is being pumped up with massive U.S. aid. On the other side, its clear this guy sold lots of nuclear technology, so, we don't know what to believe. However, the whole Iranian "intelligence" being made public is a flashback to pre invasion Iraq.

India to go ahead with Iran gas import despite US concerns.
http://www.irna.ir/?SAB=OK&LANG=EN&PART ... 0311152953
Quote: India on Thursday indicated it will not stop its economic dealings with Iran because of `US concerns` and said it hoped issues between those countries would be resolved before New Delhi concludes gas import agreements with Tehran. EU warns Iran talks slower than hoped for http://www.turkishpress.com/news.asp?id=38437Quote: EU talks with Iran on curbing its nuclear program are going slower than hoped for, but negotiators still hope an accord can be reached, the EU states leading the talks said in a progress report Friday.
But Britain, France and Germany, which have spearheaded the diplomatic initiative, warned that if there is no accord the EU would support a US call for Iran to be referred to the UN Security Council.
U.S., Europe Agree On Iran Path http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/03/ ... 9492.shtmlQuote: In a policy shift, the Bush administration will go along with European efforts to stop Iran from building a nuclear weapon by using diplomatic carrots now, with the threat of U.N. sticks later.
President Bush agreed to offer modest economic incentives to Iran in exchange for Tehran's abandoning its nuclear enrichment program, two senior administration officials said Thursday.

EU warns it could take Iran to U.N. Security Council if nuclear talks fail
http://www.wkrc.com/news/world/story.as ... 5AAD855C0A
Quote: The European Union will support U.S. calls to bring Tehran before the U.N. Security Council for possible sanctions unless it agrees to scrap the technology that can be used to make nuclear arms, according to a document obtained Friday by The Associated Press.
If Iran does not agree, "We shall have no choice but to support referring Iran's nuclear program to the U.N. Security Council," said the confidential EU document on the state of negotiations on uranium enrichment between Iran, Germany, France and Britain 'Stronger' US action if Iran does not end nuclear weapons ambitions: Cheney http://www.terra.net.lb/wp/Articles/Des ... hannelId=4Quote: The United States will pursue "stronger action" if Iran does not abandon its nuclear weapons ambitions, Vice President Dick Cheney said in an interview Friday.
The statement comes as Washington announced it would drop objections to Iran joining the World Trade Organization to support efforts by Britain, France and Germany aimed at persuading Tehran to end its suspect nuclear program.

A nice piece that gives info on the implications of an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.
Bottom line- Many Shias get mad and attack Israeli and US forces in the region.
