I’ll listen to this tomorrow when I am working on the construction drawings for our farm house. Sounds interesting.

I couldn’t get any of the links to work, but it’s on youtube:

@BillT: Are you going to submit your house plans for questions or comments? A verbal description, perhaps? I’m always interested in such things.

Apologies. The link was from last year. Anyone have a working link?

Doom and Doomer talk about the end of the world I’m guessing?

“Doom and Doomer talk about the end of the world I’m guessing?”

Worst I’ve heard in a long time, makes Kunstler look like an optimist.

I still haven’t found a link that works. Went to PRN and found the original link: says: “Error 404: file not found”. Maybe it was too depressing. I had the same results over at cluborlov.

Yeah, doom is a substantial part of the discussion (which I had no problem accessing by the way, but then I live in France). I still find Ruppert and Orlov (as well as McPherson) interesting people to listen to – if for no other reason than to counterbalance the mendacious Happy Talk we’re constantly subjected to.

There’s a section here where Dmitry does a sort of mea culpa and says it’s time for him to stop writing about collapse (around 18’20”) as it just seems to be depressing people. He states: “As a motivational speaker, I have failed. It’s time to move on to something else.” The possibility of NTE (near-term extinction) is discussed, with Dmitry noting that “There’s not enough money in the world to dismantle all the existing nuclear facilities.” But he also adds that “There’s always something to be done – even in a nuclear holocaust.” … or words to that effect. So he’s hardly advising people to just lie down and die.
