Carolyn Baker Interviewed On Dreamvisions

CAROLYN BAKER, Ph.D., was an adjunct professor of history and psychology for 11 years and a psychotherapist in private practice for 17 years. (She is not, and never has been, a licensed psychologist.)

Carolyn’s latest book is Love In The Age of Ecological Apocalypse: Cultivating The Relationships We Need To Thrive, published in 2015. She also authored Collapsing Consciously: Transformative Truths For Turbulent Times (2013). Her 2011 book, Navigating The Coming Chaos: A Handbook For Inner Transition (2011) is a toolkit for emotional and spiritual preparation for a very uncertain future. It was proceeded by Sacred Demise: Walking The Spiritual Path of Industrial Civilization’s Collapse (2009). Her other books include: Coming Out From Christian Fundamentalism: Affirming Sensuality, Social Justice, and The Sacred (2007) , U.S. History Uncensored: What Your High School Textbook Didn’t Tell You (2006) and The Journey of Forgiveness, (2000) Carolyn offers life coaching, workshops, and speaking engagements nationally and internationally and may be contacted at carolyn@carolynbaker.net

Love in the Age of Ecological Apolcalypse-  Given the daunting, dire predicament in which we find ourselves on this planet, what is described by social critic James Howard Kunstler as a “Long Emergency” may in fact become a “Last Emergency” for humanity. Whether we encounter a “long” or a “last” emergency, Carolyn Baker seeks to offer inspiration and guidance for inhabiting our remaining days with passion, vitality, empathy, intimate contact with our emotions, kindness in our relationships with all species, gratitude, open-hearted receptivity, exquisite creations of beauty, and utilizing every occasion, even our demise, as an opportunity to invoke and “inflict” joy in our world. Love in the Age of Ecological Apolcalypse addresses an array of relationships in the Last Emergency and how one’s relationship with oneself may enrich or impede interactions with all other beings. http://www.carolynbaker.net/
