Thanks! See, I am not a Koch Brother afterall. I care deeply for the green planet earth. It is our Mother.

As an aside . . . our wanton consumption of precious petroleum is also deeply tragic. It was a one-time gift, granted for a short time by Her Majesty Gaia, the Queen of Earth. We are blowing that gift on crap. Shameful stuff. :x

For the same reason you do. I don't have the money or interest to be an early adopter.

I also have a more nuanced appreciation (than you) of the limits of the technology, which would preclude me from stuffing my middle-class green pretension is people's faces.

I can't remember which wise green said it, but, "The most ecological car is the car you own (or none at all)."

Given the built in ecological cost of both ICE and EV cars, rushing out to buy one instead of making whatever car you have last as long as ever you can is a bad eco-decision (in most cases).

Gotta agree with that. We drive a 1997 Volvo station wagon. Not well known. . .the engine was built by Porsche. Real cherry :) Volvos were good for 500k+ miles. We'll see if this 'newer' model holds up

So the EV FUD is just envy. I get it.
