I don't understand how your thread title matches up with the links you posted. They sure seem very left of center to me, and they are hidebound in their ideology on nuclear energy vs renewables. The diffuse renewables are causing a lot of environmental havoc in Germany that would have been avoided by simply building a half dozen modern safe nuclear power plants that are as low or lower in CO2 emissions as the Solar and Wind farms they love so much.

Indeed. The Green Party is some sort of joke. In France they killed the Superphenix program that would have allowed France to deploy intrinsically safe fast neutron breeder reactors that would have consumed the "waste" that the Greens love to bitch about.

Those of us at the coalface in the early 1990s watched & know what happened. A very brief synopsis-

Sierra Club splits into Earth First & various conservative green groups- circa 1980's initially struggling over US forestry primarily, territory of the EF (hard core radical left green). Greenpeace formed out of this crucible, with whaling as it's drawcard, became hugely successful financially (as the Sierra Club conservatives tended to be). By 1990 California conservative greens were ready to seize control of the international green movement. Their Trojan horse was Greenpeace International, their vehicle was the Corporations Acts, enabling undermining of consensus driven community political organisation.

Aside from deeply underhanded political capabilities, the 'Sierra Club' model amounts to the philosophy of sleeping with the enemy. It is a slick marketing & political machine, owned by & operating in the best interests of the elite who have always pulled the levers. By monopolizing the mainstream, individuals refusing to come into line are sidelined. There is no less democratic political party, & it is so far- the only global political party.

I’m a Tea Party conservative. Here’s how to win over Republicans on renewable energy.  :!:

Dooley runs Conservatives for Energy Freedom, where she advocates for the expansion of renewable energy and for cuts to government regulations she believes hinder that growth. Through her efforts, she has even won over unlikely allies such as Al Gore.

The problem, according to Dooley, when speaking of her fellow conservatives, is that “they've been brainwashed for decades into believing we're not damaging the environment.” As a result, Dooley speaks with her fellow conservatives about renewable energy in a political language conservatives respect, using phrases like energy freedom, energy choice, and national securit

Smart is smart left or right doesnt matter just do it use US made clean Energy . :!:

On Tuesday(June 2017), a coalition of retired US generals and admirals have said that the United States must lead the global transition to clean energy or risk losing influence in South Asia and Africa. In a report by CNA Military Advisory Board, called Advanced Energy and U.S. National Security, it says that clean energy is an important part of the economic power Washington has that can influence developing economies. Lee Gunn, a retired Navy vice admiral, said that "The transition to advanced energy is underway and will proceed with or without the active participation of the U.S. government."

Great point. And this is why it's a shame there is such a strong tendency for both sides to blindly paint the other side as all "X" (where X is something the painter hates).

With groups like the Log Cabin Republicans, this example, liberals who support business (even big corporations), and on and on, it should be obvious how wrong that is.
