Modeling and Analysis Centers

Any pointer to organizations that are focused on energy and economic modeling for of industrial society, or working on parts of this problem. I'm familiar with many of the resources that exist on the web, in particular individuals or small groups maintaing information and selling books on peak oil. That's not what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for organizations that house scientists, technologists, modelers, analysts, and economists who can provide information, recommendations, and support our transition to a post-carbon world. There could be formal organizations or just collections of experts (e.g. Cambell and Simmons).

I'm not looking for groups like Heinberg's Post Carbon Institute. Nothing against that group. I'm just sure it's not a collection of individuals with funds that will allow it to focus on this topic and provide unbiased, academic quality information on this topic.

Pointers welcome.
